Topic: BIG CONCERTS

High all,Badeye here, just wondering what are some of the biggest and best concerts you attended ?

My biggest was Woodstock 94' too young to attend the first one in 69' but was a great experience. I'd do it again tommorow at the drop of a hat.Love to go to the blues festivals they have here in Nova Scotia every year.Camping and Blues.OH YA.

Have a good one...Badeye.

Re: BIG CONCERTS

I think my biggest music festival might be at donington for the monsters of rock in 1988 , before they reduced the crowd since 2 or 3 died when guns and roses came on, I tihnk they got crushed in the crowd.

I certainly got crushed. I had no feet on the ground at one point wit hmy arms by my side and moving forward. I could not do anything to top it. Very scary situation not being in control of your legs as you get crushed in among 100,000 people.

ye get some that are cut out for the job and others just get by from pretending

Re: BIG CONCERTS

The Killers are the best live act i have seen just mind blowing big_smile

Re: BIG CONCERTS

Yep the Killers would be good.

I think Pink Floyd in the Division Bell Tour was so way above all the others including Eagles, Van Halen, Stones, Aerosmith, and so many good ones.  But again, Floyd is the benchmark.

Dick Dale played up close in a tiny club and that was awesome.

Oh yeah, Eric Johnson at the Birchmere in Arlington was way near the top.

Re: BIG CONCERTS

The best for me was without a doubt the Bath festival in the UK in 1970. Canned Heat, Santana, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Moody Blues, Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, The Flock, Colisseum, John Mayall with Peter Green. Unfortunately my Geezer Hood is showing as i can't remenber all of the groups, but suffice to say it was FANTASTIC.

Keep on Rocking and remember Animals Feel Pain Too.

Re: BIG CONCERTS

I've never been to anything more than the local gospel sing or bluegrass festival. Then the best show i did attend was part of a lawn mower race/ concert. Some of the guys i work with played a few hours and were great thier group is called Deepstep if anyone has heard of them.
