Well I left the swamps and bayou's of South Louisiana, yesterday, and after about a 5 hour drive I made it to the mountains of North Louisiana and home. It sure is good to be home. Getting up early this morning and driving over to Shreveport, La. to get my new "home away from home" ready for me to move into on Monday after starting my new job.

Starting work on Monday morning. Got me a nice apartment - 1 bedroom, office, 1 1/2 bath, full kitchen, dining area, fully furnished and covered parking with ajoining shop (huge) that I have full use of. I'll have a cousin and his wife + 2 horses and 2 riding mules for neighbors. All this for $200.+ electric.
Deadstring, where are you located over there. I'll be almost to Blanchard, just north I-220.

Check your map and find where Highways 2 and 3 intersect at a little place called Plain Dealing, La. That is about 30 miles from Blanchard.
Some really nice folks jam at Blanchard every Monday at 6:00 pm at City Hall.
Mostly Bluegrass or Bluegrass Gospel but not limited to that. Some of these same folks make the rounds to several gatherings.

Had a great talk with NELA last night(by phone) and as soon as he gets set up to where he can take a breath we are going to meet and try to make some racket together.

Good looking couple of Louisianians there. Now how was the music?
NELA would be the one to ask since We met at the jam in Gilliam,La. and he didn't bring anything to play. I have done the same till I feel more comfortable.
Anyway I enjoyed it as always and he said the group he plays with does much the same as these folks. We both may go to Blanchard on Monday.
I found out that one of the players from Blanchard is a CHORDIE member. LA LOBO said he hasn't checked in for a while though.
