Topic: Making Memories: Transformers 3

I took my son and two of his friends to the midnight "grand opening" of Transformers 3 last night. We got home at 3 am. Boy am I tired as I prepare for work while the teens sleep. But this kind of thing has become a tradition with us and hopefully will be remembered fondly by the boys. One of the greatest gifts we have (as parents, as humans) is to make memories. Tired or not, I would do it again in a minute (or tonight).

By the way, these movies are known for their light plot, heavy reliance on special effects, and a little skin (to entice the teen boys) and this movie didn't deviate from this formula. However I think it was the best of the three Transformers movies. But if you go, keep your expectations low.

We do something similar, though not midnight movies.  We do camping and river trips and hikes and visits to historic places and that sort of thing.  I never got the chance to travel when I was young, and now that I have the opportunity, we take it.  My wife also enjoys travel, and the kids are learning.
