superb thread this and very popular already.
I have just turned 37 end of Feb. started playing Bass when I was 13 or 14, played in a few bands, gave that up, got married got a couple of weans ( children)
Started playing acoustic when I met my wife,14 years ago. her dad had one and I learned on that then got my own.
I started writing my own songs practically straight away as I could not play covers apart from knocking on heavens doors so I started doing my own then covers.
I now play, the acoustic guitar ,and trying to play the Uke, mandolin, jew harp, kazoo, tambourine, couple of tom drums, the bodhran ( a big celtic drum)
My wife plays the violin. We have jamming sessions with a mate on a friday night and do a lot of irish and scottish traditional music until I belt out a few acoustic punk songs.

I bet that goes down well <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_lol.gif" border=0 alt="Laughing">
