intogitar the posting of copyrighted lyrics is not allowed in the forums on Chordie
Oh, sorry... I've deleted them. :X
thank you and welcome to Chordie lets see what we can help you with on the strumming pattern
after watching and more important listening to the video the guitar is tunned a half step lower and he plays an open Am form to G the bridge go's to C and G the strumming pattern I could pick up was two Downstums and then alternating its syncopated like down down up down up down up down up down down up down up down up down up I could not see his fretboard in the video but I know his guitar is tunned 1/2 step flat to 440 (standard pitch) hope this helps

Ou thank you very much! I have tuned my guitar 1/2 down but I don't know whats up with the strumming but I can't take it Is it possible to make some video lesson or something?
Would be very appreciated... u can ask what you want
Hi Intoguitar,
My advice to you ! Look at youtube. theres so many covers of this song on there.
Some easy ! some more complicated. take the easy route. Learn it .Then you can always embellish your playing with practice.
This guy is brill. But some of us have to crawl etc....
Enjoy ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bY22A0UdOkM
Welcome to chordie.
Old Doll.
Maybe I am incorrect but the rhythm pattern goes:
dum dum tee dum tee dum dum. No big deal!
tuba the pattern you suggest looks like it would end on a down stroke and it feels like it should end on an upstroke to make way for the next dum dums (down stroke pattern) I played along with the video and didn't have any problems perhaps I described it different

if the song is listed in the Chordie index I could make a free instructional video and put it with the song

I've learned how to play basic strumming, so it's actually possible for me to "cover" this song, but I want something interesting like this man did. It gives to the whole song different picture and meaning i think So awesome!!
What does "Chordie index" mean? :X Indexed in google or posted like I did?
Sorry for my bad english
P.S. This is what I get with my skills :X I know the rhythm is not ok, im just beginner.

Can you make it with all the tricky extra strumming That it would sound as close as it can be
Thank you very much!
that "tricky" extra sturming is called syncopation which is basic timing 1 2 and ah 1e and ah 2e and ah 1 2 and ah 1e and ah 2e and ah say it out loud and you will get an idea of the syncopation for this song but later when I am not busy with my stuff I can video tape a short tutorial and provide a link
Russ,
Here's a good video showing the diff between regular strumming and syncopation.

intogitar I have been giving this some thought and I think Old Doll and zguitar may be the best advice for you at this point only because of where you are in your learning I am an advanced player and it would be most difficult for you to follow any video based on advanced tecniques I think it would be better for you to follow zguitar's link so you can better understand these pricipals and you may find another style from Old Dolls link that suits you
