Topic: new to this

sup people im new to chordie ive been playing guitar for 3 years, im not a great player and i wanted to aquire more speed in my picking so i wanted to know if any of you know some good picking exercises, either angular or just fast picking. thanks

Re: new to this

Welcome to Chordie!  This probably should have been asked in the acoustic or electric section (depending??)... you'd get more answers there.  Otherwise, if you haven't checked out justinguitar.com yet it's a good place to go for tons of free lessons on just about everything you could imagine.  Chances are some of the other folks here can give you some suggestions as well... I'm way more new than you to the guitar!  LOL!  smile  Also check of course on youtube for picking exercises ... you'll probably find a lot.  It's also likely walbaye and some of the other guys on here have something to suit your needs.  Hopefully they'll find this and respond.  Otherwise, I suggest posting in one of the other sections and titling your new thread "help with picking exercises" to get more responses!

Again... Welcome to Chordie!!

Can't help much with this, but welcome to Chordie - it's a good place to start!

Re: new to this

Hey, angelspawn, check out www.justinguitar.com there are loads of great excercises available on video. All for free, unless you wish to donate. Lots of fellow Chordians will point you to Justin, he's the man.

All the best,

Al V

Edit** Oops, I never read your post 1st Amy. Great minds think alike.***
