Got some good one going tonight.
Mister Johnny Winter!!!!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9j25V4iw94
EDITED TO ADD: I don't think Johnny cared as much for the lyrics as for his playing - on some stuff -. He seems to rush the words in favor of his lead blues guitar playing. I think that's why he never got on as much in the late 70's as Edgar did. Sure was nice seeing him in concert in Minot, ND (where I was stationed, though).
Listen to this one. Sounds like he's reading words.
But that's okay. He rocked us in the 70's and further on!
I am either making up for the last one I chose (Johnny Winter) or getting myself further in trouble with this one:

Captain Beefheart (and The Magic Band) got started around the same time as did Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention, but their paths diverged as Don Van Vliet (The Capt) took a different direction musically. While Zappa's stuff is clearly avant garde with those horrible 50's backgrounds thrown in, Van Vliet's music was and is more firmly based on electric blues with a very "clean" sound. <<<< My opinion.
Dan Hicks (And His Hot Licks) were contemporaries.
Now about "Hard Working Man": I've worked since I was 14 and started out in a cotton mill in Villa Rica, GA. where I grew up from age 11 on. Whenever I'd walk in and clock in for work I'd hear the machines already going. But what I heard wasn't "noise". It was rhythm. That is why I chose this song for you to hear.
I still have that '45 by the way. The little airplay it got was mostly on college stations.

Good choice, BadEye ... I was getting a kick out of the dancers being off-time here and there, as observed by a few comments on YouTube. Reminded me of the opening sequence from Steve Martin's film "The Jerk".
Hello Friday,,, been a long week.....

badeye, I don't know if you'd consider The Alabama Blind Boys' music blues or spiritual, but here they are doing an old Stones tune called "The Last Time" which is rythm and blues, and what Ry Cooder once called "Chicken Skin Music". I'm a huge fan of theirs as well as The Mighty Clouds Of Joy, and I'm not religious.
Go figure.
Enjoy.
