Re: friday's blues fix
Sonny & Brownie together ... masterful combo.
If it's okay for me to submit one, here's a blues piece by Jethro Tull, featuring the original 1968 lineup reunited, and Ian Anderson doing a capable job with the harmonica:

Hello. its Friday somewhere,,,

love this one badeye
Great song!
First time I heard this was on a record by Long John Baldry. As others have already said, there wouldn't have been too many 12-strings around in 1944, let alone being recorded for blues.
One for T.F. ,,,, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3sX-tRKuNxI
nice 12 er eh,,, badeye
Thanks, Badeye!
LJB had an amazing voice, and knocking out a tune on a Guild 12-string is first class. That F512 he's playing lists for around $4,000 ... not in my pay scale. I'd forgotten when he had passed away, but Wikipedia says it was in 2005.
A nice sunny Friday here in nova scotia,,,, time for...

Great tune, Badeye ... and this is coming from a "tee-totaller". I love one of the comments made on YouTube. Apparently Brownie once said he would only attend Sonny's funeral "... to make sure he was dead." Hilarious!
another great Friday tune.
Better late than never this is Terry Reid Highway 61 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu5NjVvs-lk ,Terry was jimmy pages first choice for vocalist wit Led Zepplin .
Good entry, Graham. I never knew there was another applicant for Led Zepp's vocalist. Terry's excellent, but I honeestly can't imagine LZ without Plant or his stage presence.
yeah Terry was also first choice for Deep Purple but turned both down as his own career was taking off at the time c'est la vie .
Deep Purple! Wow! No offense to Terry whatsoever, but I consider Ian Gillan one of the greatest rock vocalists ever. Power, range, expression ... the whole package.
uh oh,, missed the blues fix. never too late for some blues....
