Topic: Going to see Heart / Nantucket tomorrow night

Looking forward to this show. There are about 15 of us going. Mostly old friends from High School and their spouses / girlfriends. I've never seen Heart - the wife is a huge fan, I dig their tunes and just hope the old gals can still put on a show.

What me and my buds are really looking forward to is Nantucket. These guys were the top of the local (Raleigh NC) scene back in our high school days. I've seen them probably 30+ times at local bars, festivals back in the day. I actually saw them in the early/ mid 80s in Dallas, TX when they opened for AC/DC on the Back in Black tour. I was the only person in the entire stadium who knew every word to every song.

Have a Great Time Jeff,

Don't get crazy and get in trouble though, them boys of yours don't need to hear about dad in the jailhouse. My kids never let me forget it after a dumb azz uncle had to tell them about my misspent youth. Sounds like a good time, check in on your return and share some stories.

The two sisters and whomever they play with are just awesome.  I've seen them several times.  Last time in Portsmouth (VA) they were kind enough to autograph my guitar.  Took the care to sign it where it won't rub off.

Just got back and it was an excellent show. Nantucket played a short 55 minute set, but it included most of their popular tunes from back in the day. Brought back good memories hanging with 5 very good old friends. My friends and the band have all changed hairstyles (a lot less of it and more gray in it) and have put on a few pounds since the days they were playing in the local bar, but we could still sing along on every tune.

The Wilson sisters did not disappoint at all - they were fantastic. Ann can still hit all the notes and Nancy is still incredibly hot (and they must be pushing 60 I'd guess). Along with their many classic tunes, they did 2 Zep covers with Nancy on the mando that I really enjoyed as well as an excellent cover of The Who's "Love Reign O’er Me".
