Topic: a newbie needs help!

This is an AMAZING site.   One question about songbooks.  I added my first one and when I hit 100 songs it said I was maxed out.  I added a 2nd songbook but when I try to add songs it still says I'm maxed out.  How do I identfy which book to put songs in so I can make more than 1 book,

Thanks,
Kate

Re: a newbie needs help!

Never mind....I got it.  I realize I have to highlight the correct book to have it add!

Re: a newbie needs help!

Make sure you are saving it to the newly created songbook

Re: a newbie needs help!

O.K.  It still didn't work.  Help Please

Re: a newbie needs help!

I selected the correct book.  It says it's maxed out but it put it in songbook 1.  Very strange.  So the count is Songbook 1-101 songs, Songbook 2-0.

Hi pwk, I moved your thread in here so that someone with more knowlege will have a better chance of seeing it.

As far as I'm aware, as long as you have highlighted the appropriate songbook before you go to the song you are about to add it should be ok. I'm in a similar position with one of my songbooks and this works for me.

Is anything really made up of zeros and ones??

Re: a newbie needs help!

I tihnk I may have had a problem like this before ( maybe not) I tihnk it was a bug but Per fixed it.

Apart from what Alvee says which works very good and all the time here is what I do ( in case it is slightly different what you do.) But if your first book is full then there is no point in having that opened to add more into.
But anyway blah blah blah.

Here is what should happen

When on a song and you click on the " change songbook" option the page will refresh but have a choice of all your songbooks, in my case I have 6 to choose from. You click in the wee circle option for what book you want, the page refreshes again and should show the book you chose.

If this is not happening then there is something wrong. Only Per could help. he can be contacted at admin@chordie.com

Tell him what you are trying to do, tell him what you are using, internet explorer/ firefox etc

hope this helps you
