I discovered that ZAGER is a "master-luthier " since early 60ties.
Does ZAGER, and EVANS too still sing, or perform and writing songs?
Was that hit the only one?
I have to confess his guitars seems real good.

His guitars are fairly cheap imports that just get his name on the headstock... All he does is order the guitars (If I remember right, from China), sets them up with his so called "String Science", marks the price up considerably and sells them as Zagerized instruements... I've talked with Danny and his son a few times discussing their guitars and they can be quite dodgy when you start talking specs... His "String Science" is nothing more than a set up... He lowers the action puts on some extra light strings and replaces the nut with one with slightly wider string spacing. IMO He's a major rip-off! If you go by the reviews that he has selected for his website and the ones that get thrown up on Harmony then they seem all right but if you dig deeper and ask around you'll find they most serious players consider him a joke... He's often compared to the great Esteban 
Thankfully, he announced his retirement from guitars several months ago
