Topic: MEATLOAF FIT FOR A DOG

I made my first meatloaf in the microwave a total disaster that only a desperate man would eat,two pounds of indescribable horror that even a coyote would howl at so if anyone has a recipe for microwave meatloaf please help the poor soul lol my microwave is only a 700 watt model but it wasn't the fault of the appliance I take full responsibility for this culinary atrocity lol

Re: MEATLOAF FIT FOR A DOG

Sorry I can't help you out with a decent recipe Russ as my culinary skills are as poor as my recording skills lol
All I can say is...Try not to let your meat loaf. lol

Kenny

P.S. You should post up a pic of your creation so we can critique it. (as long as it's not a scratch and sniff)

Re: MEATLOAF FIT FOR A DOG

Russ,

I hate to tell you this but,it is time to "Man Up" and cook your meatloaf in the oven, microwaves are good for warming foods and ruining meat.

P.S   Keep a cool tool but don't let your Meatloaf

Re: MEATLOAF FIT FOR A DOG

Yes, that's right.  Meatloaf on the stove or in the oven.  Meat cooks badly in a microwave.  Good for warming up only.  OK, Russell, now that you know, let's try it again the right way.  And let us know.

It says something about brushing it with a cat, maybe that's where you're going wrong.

hey russ, is there room, on a porch or something, for one of those three legged charcoal grills with the big dome shaped lid? If so,I think a better tasting meat loaf could be made in one of these than in a conventional oven. Not to mention the potato & bean baking while the meats a loafing. big_smile
They do a nice job on a steak an a roasting ear too!
