Topic: "Can't Go Back in Time"

I haven't written much in a while so I thought I would see what I could come up with and this is it. This is just a song about missing kids and second guessing my parental history. I guess all parents go through when the kids leave home.

Al[F]lowed this restless spirit to come to [Am]rest




[F]Years of chasing momentary pleasures


[G]Countless days of doing what I [Am]pleased


[F]Now I let those bygones be bygones

Maybe [Am]little alterations would of make a [G]difference


Like [F]I’d be there instead of being a[Am]way


I’d [Am]get to see those moments not through [G]pictures


[F]Not much I can do about them to[Am]day

[Am]Getting home from work I let the [G]dog out


[F]Let her enjoy some time out in the [Am]yard


I sit and [Am]pet her wondering how the [G]kids are

Thanks Daddy - Yep, I do miss them and wish they were here and I always wonder about weather I could have been a better parent. They turned out good though but it sure would be nice if they lived closer.

I guess that's part of being a parent, always second guessing and wondering if we did the right things at the right time. I know I do, which I guess...makes me human.
