Topic: "In My Brain"
I guess this is about feeling young in the head but not quite as young in the body.
In My Brain By Jeff Gilpin

Verse 1
[D]God I remember when I could [F]run like the wind
It [C]surely doesn’t [G]seem that long a[D]go
When a [D]little exercise didn’t [F]leave me sucking wind
And it [C]wasn’t all that [G]hard to keep it [D]so
But [G]too many years of [D]riding a desk
[F]And letting my brain make my [D]pay
[G]I keep forgetting [D]that’s not all of life
[F]Unless I want to [C]make it that [D]way
Verse 2
[D]Running round like I [F]did when I was young
[C]Now it leaves me [G]hurting a long [D]while
[D]I never gave it [F]a second thought
[C]When I lived [G]in a different [D]style
[G]But now a days it’s an [D]hour drive to work
Then all [F]thinking not much working with my [D]back
[G]But I guess it’s [D]keeping employed
[F]Otherwise I [C]guess I’d get the [D]sack
Verse 3
[D]Why couldn’t I [F]have been born
[C]With a silver [G]spoon in my [D]mouth
[D]Then I wouldn’t [F]have had to bother
[C]With my day to [G]day work a[D]bout
[G]But I guess [D]I have to play
[F]With the only cards I’ve been [D]dealt
[G]Besides who am [D]I to complain
[F]I guess that it’s [C]just the way I [D]felt
Verse 4
So what I’m getting [D]old and I’m [F]not quite as fit
[C]I still can [G]manage to get a[D]long
[D]If I try and [F]make some time
[C]I think I can [G]remake my back [D]strong
[G]I can’t get back quite [D]to my former self
[F]But I think I can re[D]main
[G]The kind of me that [D]I want to be
[F]And not just a [C]young man in my [G]brain [D]
