I haven't been able to find another website that provides a service like chord pro, but I am definitely looking. When chord pro was working it was the best part of chordie.com. To have some place handy to keep one's chords and lyrics is pretty mandatory for a songwriter. If there is another website that can do that, and even better if the other website enables one to make songbooks of original songs, which chordie never developed, that would be most supreme. I have tried songsterr, but that doesn't provide on website storage of songs like chordie. Besides their version of chord pro is not as people friendly as the old chord pro used to be. Any help, appreciated.

I guess nobody but me even cares. Hmph. Go figure. Never mind then, I guess.

It is beyond ridiculous that chord pro still doesn't work 2 1/2 years after it went down. It's not an insult, it's a fact. REEE Dik You Lusss.

I think it's about 2 years now since chord pro has worked on this site. It would be nice if the administrators would just say that they are never going to fix it, then I can stop coming back and checking on it every few months. Sigh.

Kiss Her NowBy Zen Galileo

capo up to 5th fret in slow 4/4

[A] [C#m] [D] [E] [D] [A] [D] [E]

If you’re [A]wonderin when to [C#m]kiss her [D]and put your heart on the [E]line

[D] The pages of [A]history [D]aren’t for the cowardly [E]kind

If you’re [A]wonderin when to [C#m]touch her hand [D] In that tenderly [E]way

[D] No fire born of [A]heaven’s love [D] ever could hesi [E]tate

If you’re [A]thinkin it’s too early in the re [C#m]lationship [D] to cross that friendship [E]line

[D] No Romeo and no [A]Juliette [D] ever called it a [E]crime

So if you[D]feel a little shaky and have an [E]awkward stance

[D] If you’re kicking at some pebbles on the [E]ground

[D] I’m not saying lucky but this [A]might be your chance

[D] To put your defenses [E]down

If you were [D]wonderin when to [E]kiss her, kiss [A]her now

In front of [D]God and every [E]one

This is the [D]sign you [E]asked for I’ll a[A]vow

Just like the [D]rising of the[E]sun

Venus, [D]Cupid and the [E]angels singin [A]out

If you were [D]wonderin when to [E]kiss her, kiss her [A]now[D] [E] [A]

If you [A]ask me how I [C#m]know so much [D] about when to kiss and [E]how

[D] It’s not a story I’m [A] glad to tell, [D] no end of wedding [E]vows

You see, [A] I was a fool, the kind who [C#m]laughed at love

[D] Who thought it common and [E]cheap

[D] So the Goddess of [A] Tenderness [D] cursed my heart to ever [E]bleed

[A] And so I’ve lived for these [C#m]myriad years [D]just thinkin about that [E]kiss

[D] It’s the one that you [A] never did, [D] that you’ll forever [E]miss

So if you[D]feel a little shaky and have an [E]awkward stance

[D] If you’re listenin to a word of this [E]song

[D] Sometimes you don’t get that [A] second chance

[D]To ignite that chariot at [E]dawn

If you were [D]wonderin when to [E]kiss her, kiss [A]her now

In front of [D]God and every[E]one

This is the [D]sign you [E]asked for I’ll a[A]vow

Like the [D]rising of the [E]sun

Venus, [D]Cupid and the [E]angels shouting [A]out

If you were [D]wonderin when to [E]kiss her, kiss [A]her now

Christ [D]curse me if I’m [E]wrong

But she’s [D]hopin that you’ll [E] figure it [A]out

Heed the [D]words of this [E]song

Every [D]omen in the [E]stars is bearing [A]witness to this row

If you were [D]prayin about [E]kissing her

The LORD saith… [A]NOW [D][E][A][F#m] [D][E][A]

I guess you can't ask for anything without people saying you are : unappreciative, demanding, should just be happy chordie doesn't murder me, depressed, angry, not a member of the chordie religion, not posting enough, an incessant complainer, just want something for free cuz I like taking advantage of people, am a chordie hater, don't have a life, should be a better person, my mother is ugly... Just asking for something is a sin around here unless you are Jesus Christ apparently.  Seriously folks. Calm down. I am not a terrorist. I am just asking for chordpro to work like it used to. It is the main reason I come here.  I am not insulting your mothers.

just checking. Formatting original songs in songwriting forum?

...priority. I mean really put it as number one priority.  Its been like a year now hasnt it? Anyway, post on this thread if you think chord pro should be a priority. It's getting ridiculous. Why doesn't someone just say that they dont want to fix it and have no intention of fixing it ever? I'd respect that.  Just make a decision.  But saying someday is frustrating to those of us who want to use it. Just say yes or no and end it.

I was told it was fixed.  Major bummer. Thats a major reason I come here.

oh, and, I realized it is not in 3/4.  It CAN be sung in 3/4, and at some point I started playing it in 3/4, but this was a mistake according to my sister.  Maybe I'll do a version in 3/4 sometime, but the version I put on youtube is true to the writer's original, in 2/4 or 4/4.

Can't seem to get it to format.

I have emailed the links to admin@chordie.com.  Is there something else to do?

I found just the opposite. All songs I searched were in classic chordie style chord pro.

Um, you don't answer my question and neither does the link you sent to me.  I am making chordie aware (by the way, I know full well that chordie does not have its own songs, I know that it is a search engine, I know that I have to find a song on another site and then tell chordie about it and request that chordie [insert proper verb here, I want to say host, or link to, or talk about or zip up, partner with, I dont know the verb, apparently host is wrong, so just insert the right verb for me please] a particular song. I know all that, yet, I am asking if chordie can connect with? [verb unknown to me, please insert for me]: a site with 1000s of songs, or must I request songs found on that site one at a time. Nothing in your sticky, whatever that is, touches on my specific question.

Can chordie adopt the whole catalog or would I have to request one at a time?

https://www.google.com/search?ei=YaNIWK … jJU#xxri=0

For some reason when you click on the search results it just automatically downloads the pdf in question.  I'll post the pure website url in a bit.

It seems to be in pure text, no graphics of any sort.
