That's pretty cool GW.
Nice job on the design, extremely easy to use.
Thanks!
Jim

Thanks. The design is more a lack of design. I can design, but I'm not a designer. Like I play the guitar without being a real guitar player. smile

What I read in Nela's post was -- don't stop there!  C and G were pretty nasty not all that long ago too.
There's lots to learn, lots to accomplish.  You can do it (if you want to).

Glad I never had a problem with the C and the G. I had more trouble striking just 4 strings of the D. The knowledge that one day I'll be able to play the F as easy as an A gives me the strength to proceed. One day I'll be victorious. smile

Fortunately not everyone wants to be a guitar god. smile

Third, a question:  when you enter chords into the search bar, do you need to put spaces after the commas, or does it matter?

Doesn't really matter. Spaces and komma's will both work.

Darn. Sounded cool. smile

Chordie decoder ring? What's that?

No problem, guys. I knew it could look like spam. Wasn't my intention. Yes, there are google adds on the site, but that's because I expect this can/will be used by a lot of people. I like to share the idea and search engine, but I don't want to pay for every user myself. I'd rather let google do that. smile

Hi there.
I just finished something I want to share. I'm a very poor guitar player. Still struggling with the F. While sweating and learning I also wanted to play a lot of songs. Problem is that it takes a lot of time to search for songs with chords one masters. You can spend a whole day looking, without finding the song that fits the mood. Luckily sites like Chordie.com help a lot, but you still need to search a huge database for songs you can play. I made that process a little bit easier. I've called my chord-searchengine SearchByChords.com and it searches sites like chordie, ultimate-guitar.com and guitarfiles.be.
How it works: you can enter (for example) something like 'Em, G, D, A, C', hit search, and you get alle the songs you can play with exact these chords, or with some of these chords. If you're logged in you can also save a song to your personal songbook. It's not fancy and rather straight forward. Still, hope I've not only made my own life easier with this online app, but also the life of other hobby guitar players. It's free to use.
