Thanks for all responses. I'll continue to tak a look on beginner courses. Early plans are to teach notes, tuning, a few scales, then 3 chords (G,C,D) that fit into a few well known Spanglish songs...
If the kids can learn the chords and make an attempt to memorize the songs, the guitars will be theirs at the end of year.

I have retired and live in Nicaragua, the second poorest country in Central America. I stumbled across 10 three quarter sized, nylon string guitars, and picked them up from a local shop.
I want to locate a children's teaching course and teach beginning guitar at the local school. First and second graders.
Can anyone direct me to a resource for beginning instructors, as well as beginning students?
