It was a bit daunting to figure out the video editing software I bought but I finally made a music video. I would most appreciate members here have a look. It's a cover me and a friend did of "Someone Like You" by Adele. Let me know what you think.

I'm sure this has been covered here before but I haven't been successful at finding previous discussions. Essentially I want to collaborate with others in song. I see such a project starting out with a .wav file to push the idea through, then others contributing with their own .wav files which in turn would become separate tracks. Finally all .wav files would be gathered and mixed to the final version of said song/project.

I'm trying to wrap my head around the logistics of such a project. Wav files can be quite large... perhaps beyond limitations of email services. And if the project includes video, the problem of large becomes even greater concern. So there needs to be a way, a place to collect and distribute files from and to all contributors.

I could really use some help on this one... people with experience and know-how in the art of collaboration without borders. Any and all ideas welcome. Thoughts?

I recently bought the Boss RC-30. I love it and expect it to do most things I'd want it to do. If you search Boss RC-30 on Youtube you'll find a bunch of videos which highlight the RC-30. It has two tracks both in stereo... 3 hours of memory which is PHENOMENAL, and built in special effects. You can upload or download tracks to your computer. What else... it is fairly easy to catch onto but there is a learning curve. Over all I think it is best bang for the buck and will tease your imagination like never before. Again... do a search in Youtube, especially keeping an eye out for Dub FX and Josie Charlwood. Hope this helps!

Hey everyone. A great guy (beamer) from a m/c forum we're both on highly recommended this site as a place to be and meet fellow musicians and so, here I am! My name is Keith, I'm from BC, Canada and I've been a musician since my parents signed me up for classical piano lessons at the age of 6. I'm now far removed from my classical training but I still play music... mostly on guitar and keyboard while attempting to sing.

Anyway... just saying hi and looking forward to hangin' with you all!
