Before I sinc up iPad

I have loaded like 250 songs in my song book with extensive editing to correct wrong chord positions etc, along with Original tunes since the last time I synced up my iPad.

Here is my question.
When I sink my iPad up to my iMac, will my songs be backed up like everything else does when I sync it up? Just super nearvous about some glitch erasing all my work.

nothing loads when i'm on my computer. I click on the links for songbooks, piblic books, whatever and it just sits there endlessly. every other site works fine
