No Phill I wrote the whole chorus then put it into the AI which then suggested a load of lyrics which I then sorted through and edited into verses which I felt appropriate I then put a chord progression together .I must admit I hadnt noticed the similaritys you mentioned . Its interesting how a different pair of ears pick s up on different things .
When I created this song I was reluctant to play it live but the response has been positive so I will include it in the set for a while .

Re: Fake performances (10 replies, posted in My local band and me)
my reall gripe about this is the fact they are miming ,not that someone uses a backing track . .When Brian and I formed GB blues 20 yrs ago we made backing tracks and played as a duo until we recruited the rest of the band .And we played some massive venues back then but when we were satisfyed with the line up we ditched the tracks and only played live . In my current solo shows I sometimes use a trio pedal or a looper but generally its all live .I would never consider miming guitar or vocal in any situation .

Re: Fake performances (10 replies, posted in My local band and me)
Richard ,they had a kareoke amp and wern't bowing or fingering the violins at times it was so obvious ,and played the same 2 tunes over and over note perfect . Definetly fake.

Went to the lake district today then came back via Kendal . I was shocked to see some what I felt were fake buskers performing near the birdcage .
These guys were using a backing track and seemed to be miming violin to it .
Can any one confirm they are fake .
At one point I observed they stopped "playing" while the music continued .
Now I'm not against the use of backing tracks in a live performance and sometimes use my own which I have created for my shows , but blatant pretending to play and taking money off the public for a fake performance is wrong .
How ever if these guys have created the music themselfs then it puts a different spin on the performance but it should be made ovious the lead track is real and not all coming from the pre recorded track as seemed to be the case today

Re: Ai song writing (14 replies, posted in Songwriting)
This is the song as it currently stands , I inputted the chorus and used random words and lines generated by the AI . and I'm quite surprised how well it came out . I then set it to a chord progresion of my choice .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz8rpqAQgio
Please listen and then comment on here just like or dislike on you tube with out mentioning you know how it came about . I would like iit to be an experiment . I will reveal to you tube and face book later that it is AI generated in part .

Well I'm quite shocked at this site I found , Its an Ai song generator . I've typed some of my own lyrics into it and it has delivered a completed song/poem to which Ive just had to create some music .
I will probably finish it but it makes you feel a fake in some ways .
check it out and give me your thoughts .
I'll finish the song and then decide whether to post it or not any way heres the link /

It was written pre covid when we came back to live in the UK and saw how ageist it was compared to the Mediterranean where there is a lot more respect shown to the older genre and vice versa. But the vid was made during lock down as one of my daily broadcasts. Thanks for the comments I always appreciate them.
