Exactly.  You found the screaming baby in an otherwise harmonious concerto.
I will try without using In Private or Incognito browsing.

I sent all the relevant data from Whatsmybrowser in the forum post..

If my new workaround doesnt work, i will take a chance with my privacy, because after all we did jam in front of my fireplace via Skype together, and send the Whatsmybrowser data directly.
Sincerely appreciate your help.
All the best,
Caesura DS

Greetings Fellow Chordians -
New look and feel is great - Page loading is great - Navigation is great . . . mostly.  THANKS to all developers and contributors!

Here's the thing:  After trying common fixes and potential fixes found in the Forums for over a month now, I continue to have difficulty logging in to My Songbook, and it appears, anything but the Forums.  Occasionally, clearing cooking and launching a fresh browser has worked, but I can't figure out why I would have to clear cookies every time to get to "My Songbook," nor have I discovered any pattern to when clearing cookies works or doesn't work.  I decided it was time to reach out to the community.  Thanks for any solid help you may be able to provide.

On the My Songbook tab, following the instruction, "To use the songbook you need to log in. It is free to register," when I log in, I am asked to "Confirm" the action.  Clicking the "Confirm" takes me to the Forums.  All good on the Forums tab.  I can see my username at the top right and can navigate freely throughout the Forums . . . still, I am trying to get to My Songbook . . . right?

What have I tried?
1. Clear cookies, history and SSL state; close browser, launch new browser, attempt to log in fresh
2. Confirmed cookies enabled > Does that matter?
3. Java is current and enabled
4. Adobe Flash 21.0
5. Java Deployment Toolkit (32-bit) is installed and enabled
6. Java Plug-In SSV Helper and ...2 SSV Helper are installed and enabled
7. Same results in I.E. 11.0.9600.18231 and Firefox 45.0.1 on Windows 8.1 64-bit
8. *Additional details below, as shown on www.whatismybrowser.com

> Selecting any tab other than Forums (e.g. Home, Songs, Artists), my username is gone but I can navigate around within those tabs
> > MAIN ISSUE > > After logging in from the Home page, when I select My Songbook, I am prompted to Login again, as follows:
     "My Songbook
The songbook is your personal collection of guitar chords and guitar tabs.
After you have added the songs to the songbook, you can edit the songs to correct errors. You can also print the songs as a high quality booklet.
To use the songbook you need to log in. It is free to register."
> If I just click the "log in" hyperlink from there (http://chordie.com/forum/login.php), it takes me to the Forums tab and shows my username at the top, indicating I am still logged in
> After I can see that I am still logged in, when I select the My Songbook tab, the same page appears as before, prompting me to log as follows:
   "My Songbook
The songbook is your personal collection of guitar chords and guitar tabs.
After you have added the songs to the songbook, you can edit the songs to correct errors. You can also print the songs as a high quality         booklet.
To use the songbook you need to log in. It is free to register."
> Again, because I am actually logged in, clicking the "log in" hyperlink from here takes me to the Forums tab, and shows that I am still logged in; however, selecting the My Songbook tab continually returns me to this loop.
> When I clear cookies, close browser, restart machine and log in anew, from scratch, from the "log in" link on the My Songbook page, I get the same result as described above as the "MAIN ISSUE."

I must have missed a configuration step to make the new authentication protocol work.  Although most Chordie members are not having this issues, it is apparent that I am one of many, so I anyone has figured it out by now, this must be a simple fix I am overlooking.

Please advise.  Thanks to the community for your welcoming and helpful team spirit!

Sincerely,

Caesura Dal Segno

Hey Guys, you can't disagree with Doug_Smith's post that you can't beat a full-featured tuner when practical!

The Martin Tuner app for Android is a real handy tool. It's a little jumpy, but once you know how to work it, the Martin Tuner app (along with a with a good ear) is always available, and does the job while I order a replacement Snark.

Hey, for six-string, which model Snark do YOU guys prefer / recommend??

I've used 2 models of the Snark.  They are definitely convenient, especially in low light or noisy rooms on the Vib setting.  On the Mic setting, it seems like they have trouble "hearing" through white noise, like a fan.  The Vib function on my Snark SN-2, the red one, has stopped working, and it's not due to low-battery.  Have any of you guys seen that happen to a Snark?

Thnks for the benefit of your experience.

Yeah, i guess it was a popular gig, and the skype-jam room filled up.  Skype username is "caesurads."  Thanks for your kind invitation!

This is such a cool opp, Topdown!  If you find the AV quality to be pleasing at 5-10, those who are into it could snag one of those Skype premium free trials, to host and keep it going for months.  I'm in the camp with Pete and Amy - would love to give it a go this evening, but don't want to hog the bandwidth.  Still working at it over here (since 1971) - people always invite me back for another party, but so far noone has said, "...and don't forget your guitar!"  The most important thing is for those who join to have a really good time together, right?

Play . . . Rest . . . Repeat
