My bar band gig for 24 years was front man, lead and backup vocals, rhythm guitar and the occasional trumpet solo. Got a gig playing tuba bass with John Reno and the Half-Fast Creekers for 10 years ago up to now.
It's great to welcome another brass player to the Chordie Forum.

Yeah it's simply disgusting that Moore is working day and night to defeat the corporate war mongers. And what right do our working poor have to health care?


That fat perick should stick to eating tacos and supporting more tax giveaways to ner-do-well trust funders.

Did you find the tune you were searching for?  Also make note of the transposition feature on the site as it makes it easier to change key and select alternate instruments (at least the common stringed ones).

  Not everyone around here has the guitar as primary instrument though, there are a few keyboarders, dulcimers, drummers, bassists, fiddlers, and yes a few brass blowers.  Still trying to figure out what that trombone is doing sitting over in the corner of my music room...????  It showed up about thirty years ago, about the time the wife moved in.  I dust it once in awhile but really don't know what kind of sound it makes, haven't been able to get the little woman to pull it out of the case.

Again, probably just a I VI IV V path. However it would save me a ton of work to get the whole thing. Starts with a 3/4 time duet. Those girls can sing.

Am a working musician with a big band out of Northern CA. I just got the word from the "boss" that "we don't have time to rehearse the tune" before the holiday. So maybe next year.

The girls I work with do a good Andrew Sisters routine with plenty of big band music LATER than the Swing WWII era. Lots of Nestico, and Vegas tunes. I'm the lead trumpet player.

Thing with the trombone is it is easier to blow than the trumpet. T-bone requires more air flow but except for the slide technique it's easy.

With the trumpet endurance accuracy and upper register are what separates the men from the boys. A little natural knack can be a help.

Hi everybody. Just another old goat working to support his music habit. Sometimes a professional trumpet player, all the time a friendly, aging hippie.

Was bumping around this site trying to find the changes to a simple Wilson sisters Christmas song "Hey Santa". Easy enough to figure the chords but what the heck? Someone's probably already done the job ahead of me.

Am thinking of making a big band chart out of it a/la Andrew Sisters. What with Christmas just around the bend anything that saves me time is much appreciated. Hardly more than 4 chords in the whole tune...
