The OP24 has seperate battery case.On the back is a plate about 4 inches dia,you take it off put your hand inside and hold battery pack and turn screw on back 1/2 turn pull out hole. The trick is to put it back,the battery case has foam around it push up on battery turn screw 1/2 turn.After a couple of times you get use to it.
The MCS148 is super nice for the money.
