Didn't know an electric tenor was made, news to me.I only know of acoustic tenor guitars so would be interested to know where these are available from.

Buenos dias amigos! Anyone interested in starting a session/jam night at one of the pubs around the Kirkby/Sutton/mansfield area.I know you got the Brown Cow Folk club and stuff...way too structured and regimented!And i know that there are a load of open mic nights...but how is that gonna help play with others I ask!??I play a few things,mainly chords ,tenor guitar,bouzouki,bit of mandolin and tenor banjo,plus button accordion,concertina and gob iron (versatile but I never said was any good!).Anyway,have sounded out a couple of pubs and they would be glad to have us there in midweek,say once a fortnight!Players and singers please get in touch or e mail me on martinjcarey@hotmail.com Slainte!

Hello Brother Chef! So pleased when I saw another TG player on Chordie,then my little heart sank when I saw your tuning...Damn!I play a Tonewood tenor but have it tuned Irish...GDAE,as is my mandolin,bouzouki and tenor banjo...so way too far down the line to change tuning!I have been building up my songbook,mainly in chords but also enjoy a little experimental picking.Most things I pick up from Chordie (all hail,great site),songbooks and watching on youtube too.Find it helps to re write the lyrics in my little notebook and then highlight the chords above in a different colour...very helpful after a couple of beers!Anyway..my name is Martin Carey from Nottingham,England!Good luck!
