Don't remember where I read in here on the forums about not having a computer in front of you to show you the chords!  Thought I would repost this in the Acoustic forum in thinking some people might not see it in the other forum thread!  Sorry if this is against the rules.

Guys,  Not sure if I'm posting this in the right area or not but figured this was the best since it involved software!  My son got an Ipod Itouch for Christmas and I've been looking for a piece of software that could be used to transfer tabs/chords from websites or from Guitar Pro files to his Itouch.  I also was reading through the forums here one day and the same thing kept coming up, I would like to be able to play without the crutch of being in front of the computer.  This program is called TabToolkit.

TabToolkit supports GuitarPro, Power tab, Plain text files (copy a website and paste), and PDF files!  I just tried it and it works flawlessly!  It had me get into my browser on the computer and go to a certain IP address and then I just opened another browser and went to my pages that had my songs tabbed/chorded out and then I just copied and pasted........This program was only 9.99 and it is well worth the price!  It also had several tabs already there, lots of practice ones too!  If you have any questions  I would be glad to try to point you in the right direction! The Itouch is an awesome little device.  It also has a program that will let you download youtube vids right to your ITouch, if you have your vids that you learn some songs on you can have them right on your itouch and take them with you!

Hope this helps!!!

Hey guys,  Just picked up a Taylor 110E lefty acoustic (traded for it - I had a Fender d10 model I think) and I am on cloud 9.............The guy told me that it is Lightyears ahead of the Fender and man was he right!!  It has an awesome sound and is easier to play!!  Was wondering what kind of amp (fairly cheap) would sound good with it and how much can I expect to shell out for one?  Thanks for lookin'   Nascarfan

An older couple in their 90's went for a checkup at the doctor's office.  The doc gave them a clean bill of health except for their lack of memory.  He told them to write everything down.  Later that night they were watching tv and the husband gets up and says I'm going to the kitchen, do you want anything.  The wife says get me a bowl of ice cream, do ya need to write that down.  Husband says no, a bowl of ice cream.  She says while your at it put some strawberries on it too, do ya need to write that down.  Husband says no, bowl of ice cream w/ strawberries on top.  She says while your at it put some whipped cream on top, do ya need to write that down.  Husband says na, bowl of ice cream, strawberries, whipped cream on top.  30 minutes later the husband comes out with a plate of bacon and eggs..........................Wife says, where's the toast!!!  I love that one, kinda long typin it out though!!

Zguitar,   Hi, this is my first post on this forum and I am a new guitar player as of the new year!  I would like to say that this website is very helpful with a wealth of knowledge and info!!!  You sound like you're in the same boat I am in with the strumming........I kinda feel like with strumming and patterns, some people are blessed with this and some aren't!!!  I'm one of the aren'ts,  LOL!  I think a person who is not very good at strumming can still pick this up, it's just something that we're going to have to work a little harder at to get to that next level!!  I really think the best way is to listen and feel your way through this.........I think picking up a few basic strum patterns is good, just so you know some basics and then maybe once you get your feet wet with those, just start experimenting and branch out.........I still have not branched out yet myself!  It's fun though......

Take care,  Nascarfan
