I think he's looking for what is the note to start singing on. I don't believe I've ever heard the song myself.

I think he meant the 5th one down, not version 5. Search for Jingle Bell Rock v1 Ventures and I think you'll find your jingly bell rock love.

Re: easy songs (7 replies, posted in Song requests)
"Okie from Muskogie" is but 2 chords. I use E and B7 but a B7 might be unsuitable for someone going for easy songs so you could transpose it to something easier to play, like an A and an E7.

You know what's nice for a duet? canon in d.
I don't know if the chords or tab is out there but the rhythm guitar is D / A / Bm / F#m / G / D / G / A repeat

sounds like a compressor over-tweaked to me. When this happens, does it also happen acoustically, or just when you run through your amp/effects?

I find this extremely effective. The river I visit and play for the fish at? They prefer the Asus instead of a straight A. The cows in the pasture prefer the more standard A with a bit more drive. Funny how it works out that way.

For what I paid for my fender cd60cse I'm very happy with it.
Isn't that what a stratocaster is about? Good value for the money. I think that's what Fender does best. Opinions vary. what do ya do.

I don't know if it follows the pattern exactly but remember Dream Lover by Bobby Darin? That one seems to fit with the originals you mentioned.
C, Am, C, G, C, F
seems like it might fit.

I wondered about this dull string thing all my life. Sure, I thought I could hear a difference but I never took the time to record the difference between new and old strings. So I did that. I don't have the best recording gear in the world but oh well. My own string comparison, old vs new with MP3 goodness.
