I asked about this a while ago and was told it was by Kris Kristoferson. That is 'for the good times' and not the song I am looking for.
Good times is a great tune and would appreciate any help as i'm sure you would enjoy playing it.

no, its definetly ' GOOD TIMES' by Willie Nelson.
lyrics start " when we rolled rubber tyres down the driveway,
pulled a purse on a string cross the highway,
classify these as good times.
