I've managed to figure the chords to this song out now--my 20 year old guitar playing grandson visiting from California helped me with some critical parts yesterday. I would be happy to provide them to anyone interested, but don't know the procedures. I've benefited greatly from the chords to many songs available on chordie.com, and would gladly contribute, but would need to be told how to do it.

Has anyone figured out the chords to Randy Owen's new song, "Let's Pretend We're Strangers For The Night"?
Does the absence of this song on Chordie mean that the chords are not posted anywhere on the Internet? I may not fully understand the Chordie policy about posting chords to a song if you think you know them and are willing to share them. Can someone help me understand this? I've been working on this song since it came out recently, and would like to hear from others to see what chords they have found to fit the song, and compare with what I have so far.
Thanks,
Verne

Does anyone know the chords to Randy Owen's song, "Let's Pretend We're Strangers For The Night"?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

James,
Thanks very much for searching and finding this one, but this it's not the song I'm looking for.

I suspect nothing will happen because I think the pickups are nearly identical, within manufacturing tolerances. My understanding is that the sound differences come from the pickup location on the guitar, not differences in the pickups. Changing from humbucker to regular pickups would make a difference, however.

Thanks Cytania,
I wouldn't have thought of doing that. I appreciate the advice.

Can anyone help with finding chords to the song, "Baby, Sweet, Sweet Baby"  recorded by Eddy Arnold, Dottie West, ...? Maybe the title is "Sweet, Sweet Baby" I would greatly appreciate getting the chords. I'm a 74 year old who strums guitar along with CDs or songs on my iPod.
Thanks!

I'm a beginner electric player with an Epiphone hollow body and a Fender Champ Amp. The guitar has two humbucker pickups with a volume and tone control for each. The amp has three controls--Volume, Treble, and Bass. For me, this is a lot of knobs to turn and many possible sound variations. I would greatly appreciate suggestions for approximate settings to accompany music of different sounds such as:
Western/Cowboy: "Riding Down the Canyon"/Gene Autry, Sons of the Pioneers
Western Swing: "San Antonio Rose"/Bob Wills
Country: "Walking the Floor Over You"/Ernest Tubb; "Okie from Muskogee"/Merle Haggard
Folk: "Country Roads"/John Denver
Popular: "Fly Me to the Moon"/Frank Sinatra; "Unforgettable"/Nat Cole
Rock: "Have I Told You Lately"/Rod Stewart
Jazz: Joe Pass
Blues: Muddy Waters
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated--just to get me in the ballpark for the different types of music. I'm a 74 year old who enjoys playing chords along with recorded music. My experience is mostly with acoustic guitar, but the electric can make so many different sounds, and is easier to play. However, I have trouble finding good guitar and amp settings to match the music.
Thanks,
Verne

Thanks Russ, Nice to hear from you. I've been enjoying music for a long time. My dad played the banjo and fiddle. I bought a Silvertone guitar from the Sears catalog in 1945, and played it a lot over the years. It's no longer playable but I've acquired a nice replacement acoustic, and a few years ago bought an electric which is also very enjoyable for its different sounds and qualities.
