I sure wish some one would put the chords for Hey Soul Sister by Train in the menu.

You may also want to check out my song book on Chordie. They are a lot of real easy songs. I am still in your shoes after about a year but I sure do enjoy it. Maybe some day my wife will recognize what I am playing.

Topic: F barre chord (4 replies, posted in Acoustic)
I have an Ibanez 6 string and an Alvrez 12 string. Its easier for me to do the barre chord on the 12 string. Is there some way I can change the action of the 6 string so I can play the barre chord?

I also bought the AJ60S12. Accually its on lay away for a month. But I am really excited to get it home and disturb my live in critic (my wife). I used to ask her how songs sounded with my 6 string and she would say it sounded good - what was it? When I took her in and played the 12 string she was amazed and said she could even tell what I was playing. Do the strings break often on a 12 string?

I want to buy a 12 string and I am looking at either a Yamaha or an Alvarez. I would appreciate any assistance with my choice. I plan on spending around $500.00.

Thanks everyone for all your help. I now have several songs that I am working on. A little Ozark Mountain Daredevils. Some Credence, The Doors, and Crosby Stills and Nash. My wife thought I had wasted my money on the guitar and that it would sit in a corner somewhere but I have played at least a half hour every night for a month now, and I love it.
Thanks again.
P.S. Whoever invented the F chord and put it into so many songs should be shot
