hey,
I'm looking for anyone who lives in or near east-anglia, and would fancy starting a Christian rock/ metal band. i know i would probably have more luck looking on athiestforums.net but it's worth a try. all you have to do to be in the band is love Jesus, be able to play your instrument of choice (althought it will improve with time obviously), and put up with a rather dyspraxic rythym guitarist (me). my dream is to play at SoulSurvivor, so there's something to aspire to.

hey jets,

first of all it's a great topic, so the lyrics had to be great smile
again, it's a different idea from most songs you hear nowadays if you see what i mean, as are a lot of songs by everyone on Chordie. when i feel like dragging myself across the floor to get my guitar and play the chords, i will lol m sure they're great anyway ^^

that's a pretty harsh thing to say about yourself. i'll try and explain the song though.
think of something you want to live with every day of your life. something that you would struggle to live without, and it's very very important to you.

but whatever it is, it's in Sweden, and you have no means of getting there, or making it come to you. that's sort of what it's like.

i'll just talk a bit about the song.
i haven't been on here lately, there's been something that's stressing me out a lot. that's the fact that i live so far away from my girlfriend sad
also, from monday 'till yesterday (friday), i was on a school trip to Sicily, i couldn't even talk online, or on the phone. i wrote these words on tuesday and wednesday (i didn't have a guitar), and it's a happy and sad song. I don't really want to talk about it much more though, if that's ok. the worst thing is, i'm going on another holiday later today , for a week, i don't want to go on this one. me and Julia are both upset because of this.
it's not just dedicated to her, but to both of us. be honest about what you think.

yeah, i mostly play classical guitar. i've been playing for about 3 1/2 years now, and it's what i'm best at in guitar ^^ i'm doing grade 4 soon, which i'm looking forward to.
and i agree, there doesnt seem to be many classical players on this site. i'll do for a while, i hope lol

First- "Reelstrings", at a party or something, it's one of my Granddad's many bands. I think I've seen them all now...
"Saxon Scifflers" (saw them at their 60th anniversary gig), "Fair Trade Duo" (which is basically Reelstrings with a different name and no drummer, i don't really see the point), "Reelstrings" (duh), and "Soho Leg-Ends" (I know all the guys in that one, and I'm their only listener on last.fm and I put their music on there, great band.)

That was so amazing big_smile He has an amazing sense of humour too... he sung Spongebob Squarepants, which was hilarious, and almost all of his album "Handmade by Robots" and a couple of cover songs, too
I could go on about him for ages after seeing him at The Cambridge Corn Exchange, but I'll bore you. tongue
Second best was "Flook" on my 14th birthday, that was awesome too. they played Happy Birthday for me ^^
