All I can say is "heavy Metal Thunder" born to be wild Steppenwolf.... form my point of view Heavy Metal is a very generic term that cover everything from Big Hair (80's rock like Bon Jovi et al) to the classic 60-70's stuff like Led Zeppelin...make up your own mind I guess, but there is good and bad in all of these bands

Wonderful Tonight is a beautiful song, but overplayed, try soemthing sweet and acustic rather than something flash...persoanlyl I would try and write my song song ..thats always works

GUys Im new here, but been playing Guitar since I was 13 (now 35) and have always played from the heart - usually becuase I didn't know any different - I have since leart all the music theory and I have fond that that changed the way I played, making me I think a more accomplished player, but with less emotion, So now I am trying to "un -learn" everything I know and play from my heart...as it always sounds better
