I use the 2-3-4 and have always used this. But I play mostly Bluegrass and Classic Country. So my keys are probably alot different than say Rock. I can plat both but don't care for 1-2-3. I am quicker with the 2-3-4 change but I prefer this. So use what feels best. But, on your twelve string if you are deading your A you may have to compromise with comfort a little. After all it is only a chord. We have all learned them before. You got it. Tear it up and nail it.

One thing I have found with the f chord is to use my 1st finger first fret and only press the b string instead of e and b. This does not work in all occassions. But if you are playing along with someone else you cannot notice but you can play along and participate. But you will still want to learn the proper way. Because who wants to follow for ever. It is fun to take stage every now and then. Plus the proper first position does sound better. This is how I taught myself and moved on from there. When you come down from a C chord you only drop you second and third finger down a string and your there. I too am double jointed so barre chords are basically useless for me. But if you can learn to play a barre E hop to it.

I am using elixer poly's and I would like to get a more brighter brilliant tone. I don't play alot of sappy country but mostly upbeat and of course there is no sad bluegrass. I like happy. I don't play alot of minor chords unless Em which is in alot of traditional music. More sevenths and major chords. Thank you for the reply

I have a couple of questions. I have an Alvarez acoustic bought it new three years ago. I love it. I have had it adjusted and put medium strings put on .013 elixers. I alternate between a medium and light pick. I am only playing classic country and some eighties style. I am not get the desired sound out of it. I would also like the guitar adjusted a bit more but the only way would be to have the bridge filed and new strings put on. I am probably going to do this soon. As there is a Traditional music festival coming in september here in michigan and I will be playing for about six hours a day for three days. Any suggestions on strings. I have been playing for just under three years and I am now starting to play bluegrass also. Not sure what to do.

Topic: Wanting to play key of C with Capo. (3 replies, posted in Acoustic)
I was wondering if someone could tell me if I can put the capo on any other fret other than the 5th to play key of C. I have trouble with F chord and miss out on alot of songs. I have trouble with the B7 chord also so if we could bypass the key of E to transpose, that would be appreciated. I just want to be able to play until I can get the first positions of B7 and F down. Thank you in advance.

Hello, I am wondering if someone could tell me a good site to help me with the capo. I play alot of country music and I am still having problems with f chord and b7 chord. So I really cannot play key of C or E and would really like to join in on alot of songs. I can transpose the chords with the different keys it is just the issue of what fret do I put the capo on. Thanks in advance.
