You're a star Roger, thanks for such a quick response. Couldn't remember who sung it, (well I am 64) and I couldn't find it on this site, so I'd be grateful if you would give me the chords/lyrics. Again, many thanks, David.

Can anyone tell me name of the 60's hit song with verses that end each line with: 'I think of you'? It goes on: 'cause you don't love me no more'. Thanks for your help, David.

I have been unable to find the chords to that most beautiful song by Clifford T Ward called 'Home thoughts from abroad' (1972ish). The lyrics are available online but no-one seems to have the music. I know it's a pretty simple piece, but I would appreciate any help with the chords, thanks. Rollernut.

Thanks for your reply, I'm playing a solid electric (handmade) so a soundhole  cover isn't the solution. Could you explain more about an eq pedal please.

Hi there, I play guitar through a 30w amplifier and my mic is via a Boss BR532 digital studio and a couple of small powered speakers. The whole setup is in a bedroom and, despite moving the speakers up high, I cannot totally get rid of feedback. Someone has suggested replacing the speakers with some larger ones, maybe 100w / channel, do you think this would solve the problem and what powered speakers would you recommend? (not too expensive) Thanks, Rollernut.

It's stringed instrument, not string instrument. (Unless you've knitted a guitar!)

Could anyone tell me the name of a great song in the 60's which began: "You do-n't ha-ve to tell me, she's in town, she's back in town."  I would like to get the lyrics/chords for it. Thanks, Rollernut.

Please could someone give me an accurate copy of Harry Nillson's 'Everbody's talking 'bout me'. The only one in the songbook isn't very good. Thanks.

Sorry, but I turned 60 this month and still play every day!

Devon, England. Been playing electric guitar for over 40 years on and off. Love to play songs from the 60's but also some new stuff. Any 'oldies' from Devon out there? Please get in touch.

I learned the basics back in the 60's and could just strum along to songs that didn't contain any 'difficult' chords. My guitar then spent the next 30 years on top of the wardrobe.

A few years ago I bought myself a good guitar (USA Strat) and, with the help of sites like this one, have gone from strength to strength and play every day. I even enrolled on a 3 month guitar-making course and built myself a beautiful unique electric guitar!

So as someone in their late 50's, I'd say you're never too old. (I just wish there were some like-minded oldies in my area to form a band with.)
