I'm working on the song, Mary Did You Know. I'm working it out with my capo on the 3rd fret and starting off with an Em. So, Em, D, C, Em. Does that work, or is it just close ? or not even?

I hope I'm doing this right. I've been picking out the song, "Day by Day" on my guitar and I think I'm pretty close, but there's one chord that is killing me! Does anybody know this one? I noticed while searching, that there are lots of Day by Day songs, but I think James Taylor did this one probably 20 years ago, and I can't find it anywhere. Hint: "beloved God, there are 2 plus 1 items which I ask for. . ."
I hope this is legal. If not, I guess I'm gone!
