18:47 was the post time. Military Time I believe....at least that's what we call it in the US. That translates to 6:47 pm.

Re: Why Do Electric Guitars Turn Me Off? (15 replies, posted in Electric)
I would have agreed with both of you guy's a year ago.
<img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_rolleyes.gif" border=0 alt="Rolling Eyes">
I love my acoustic for what it can do, and what I can do with it. I started to play guitar so I could accompany myself singing. After a while I thought it would be easier and more fun to play electric. I went out and got a Strat. I borrowed an amp, plugged it in and was not very pleased with the twangy tone. Needless to say.....It sat in a corner, where it has been, for the last 10 years.
Recently I've been recording some things with a former frontman from a 90's Hip Hop/Funk band. I used my acoustic with a Pro Mag p/u and put down some chords. Impressed with my knowledge of chords, he brought out his 1958 Reissue Les Paul for me to play.
Let me tell you...it was fun...For a while there, I was Ace Freakin' Frehley. The sounds I could make were unbelievable. The power and ease at which I could play were startling.
Currently I play my acoustic to play and sing.
I play my LP when I want to feel like a Rock Star.
Please go to your local music store and ask to try a Les Paul through a Marshall... better yet...find a friend who has one already setup and play his...or hers. It made all the difference for me.

P.S. I've even dusted off the Strat

To All
Got the Epi Les Paul Plus Top for XMAS...and I love it. It'd definetly not a Gibson, but at least now I can afford to pay my rent this year. Just got it back today from being setup. D'Addario 11's, nice low action, chunky. Mmm Mmm Good <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy">

Hello Everyone,
My name is Steve........and, Um,......I'm a Guitaraholic. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_eek.gif" border=0 alt="Shocked">
Whew...that was tough. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">
I have to say that I am very impressed with the support I have seen here for new players and vets alike. Thanks
My questions are regarding my current guitars (keep in mind ..I've been playing seriously for about a year....but I'm getting there pretty fast)
I have an Ibanez AW 12 NT acoustic that I was given by a friend to replace my first beater (A Bently)
I have an Epiphone LP Honeyburst (Xmas gift) currently being set up by Rich Beck in Phoenix AZ
I was curious if anyone has any first hand knowledge of these guitars
Any info would be great
Thanks Again
Steve
