Hello sxm...I am near Skipton NorthYorkshire,yes not too far from stockton...so out in Indiana,must be much more going on than here!...yes this site seems ok quite usefull I thnk.if your into punk its interesting that you find John Denver of any interest!...I went to JD concerts over here in around 1986....after his concerts was the first time I ever touched a guitar (like many others I guess).I dont find it easy very slow progress!....good luck,maybe let me know how you doing later...Happy New Year!

Hi,well I am not that good but keep trying...I know what you mean,I think there are those with a born talent in them and others will never be just as good...but I dont think you reach a level of skill and then cannot go further allthough I guess it feels like it sometimes!..I think practise will always improve your playing..good luck.

Hey thanks for your reply...there was a lady on tv once from nova scotia, think I have a video I taped of her.. forget the name but she was singing about coal miners but maybe her own songs...yes people like John Prine,Pete Seeger...all the good acoustic players and singers,great tunes and songs..I am still pickin but fingers not too keen...

Hi,anybody from UK?...I am very into John Denver type music (dont groan)...fingerstyle dylan/james Taylor etc....47 years olod been trying to learn for 15 years on and off,just getting more into it now.When I get good enough going to put something up on youtube,amazing the people on there...great players and singers some of them...anyhow get back anyone...cheers.
