I don't remember who the main headliners were, but I think it was Richie Havens who kicked it off.  Country Joe and the Fish were there if I remember correctly (Joe Walsh's band, pre-Eagles).

When I say "remember", that's remembering by reading about it.  I was four years old when the event occured.

The Joe in Country Joe and the Fish is Joe Mcdonald. Joe Walsh's pre-Eagle band was the James Gang, thay didn't play at Woodsock.

My feeling is thier like kids in a candy store, to much to fast.I to have seen the life's of regular folk destroyed by stupid behavior, and it is a vary hard and sad thing. As far as respect for their art, addiction can take control of a person's life.Without the right people around them to influrnce them, their addiction can control thier life's insted of them controlling it.                                   As far as Otis Redding's last performance. His plane stoped at Burk lakefront airport in Cleveland,Ohio to refuel. While he was there he performed one song [try a little tenderness], on a local t.v. show called upbeat. He then took off for his destiny.                              Get togeter was wrightin by Chet Powers aka Dino Valente or Jesse Oris Farrow. He also wrote Hay Joe.
