Well done James,

That list you posted was fantastic.

I have been going nowhere fast for months now and all I needed was some guidance on what songs to learn.

I will focus on these 3 or 4 chord songs to make practicing enjoyable again - as it should be.

A regular item dedicated to this subject would certainly appeal to a great many learner guitarists.

Maybe popular songs could be listed in some sort of scale from easy to a bit harder and so on.

Hi there,

I have been playing for about 10 months now and straight away jumped in feet first and learnt a fairly hard Damien Rice tab, i was well impressed with myself. I than moved on to an Eva Cassidy tab which made me fall flat on my face. That being the case I have been trying this song on and off for the past 6 months - without success, and have ended up after 10 months not being able to play much at all!

What i need to do now is go back to basics and learn some fairly easy 3 or 4 chord songs and MAKE IT FUN AGAIN!!

James McCormick's answer to the post on this forum entitled SOMETHING I NOTICED is great! I am now going to try some of the songs he is suggesting and i think you should too.
