Topic: My Songbook Glitch (9 replies, posted in About Chordie)
Sometimes when I go to "My Songbook" it works just fine. Other times all that shows up is this....
mySql reports: Out of memory (Needed 65664 bytes)
This query was executed:
select * from songbook where songbookname='acoustic boogaloo' and owner='knox87'
I used to be able to just refresh the page a couple times and it would work again... but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore....

Re: That Unpleasant Thing (6 replies, posted in Poems)
i suppose it really alludes to both miscarriage and abortion.
"if wanted and it dies" = miscarriage
"but if unwanted here" = abortion
& thanks for the positive feedback.. i was thinking about posting this on a forum i post to regularly.. but since abortion is such a touchy issue.... i was kinda hesitant to do so as i didn't want to offend anyone i actually know... hehe

When does life gain worth
Is it after-birth
Or is it just a choice
If wanted and it dies
Then the mother cries
But if unwanted here
We won't shed a tear
We'll just look away
From that unpleasant thing

Topic: is there a way to get a blank song sheet? (1 replies, posted in About Chordie)
so i can tab out original stuff.. i know i can take any song and delete it all and start from scratch but even when i change the title and artist name it still shows up as what it was originally in my songbook.. i could just deal with it but after a while that could get kinda confusing...

hello knox87 - very nice lyric! What sort of chords are you planning to use? Seems like a minor key would suit the mood of the words.
</td></tr></table>
for the chorus it's D7sus4 Dm Am C Em
for the verse i think i had Am C Em Am
& the bridge is the same as the verses just a stronger strumming pattern..
it starts off very slow and mellow and builds up to the bridge and last chorus where ya really drive it home.. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy">

Chorus:
All my phobias and fears
Are no more than smoke and mirrors
Its all just one big illusion inside my brain
Verse one:
Whenever people see me
Id like to be Houdini
And escape from these chains
That bind me down
Verse two
Sometimes when people see me
I wish I were Houdini
And disappear from here
And never reappear
Bridge
These chains, this pain
Its all inside my brain
This fear, these tears
It's all just smoke and mirrors
