Hi I have been playing for around two years now but am still no nearer to getting a good sound out of my acoustic, it still sounds and feels very tinny.

Do you think changing the strings would make a difference? at present I am using the strings that came with the guitar (acoustic).

Howdy,

Am looking to start recording at home. However, aside from a mic I have no idea what else is needed to make a passable recording. Any help much appreciated

Cheers

Your in a crowded bar at an open mic night, all eyes are on the stage. Suddenly after a few beers you find yourself up there with a guitar in hand. You're given the chance to play one song to impress the crowd. What do you play??

Sounds like a brilliant Idea. Need to get some of my songs down on MP3 then will give it a try!!

Nice work!!

Hi

Have been working at this for some time now and getting nowhere. I know that somewhere there is a rule so that whatever chord you play you know which fret is the root note of the corresponding scale. Don't know if I explained that very well but hopefully you get the idea.

Cheers

Sorry dude I put the chords in the wrong places for the above song. They shoul be alot more spaced out. Sure you can get an idea tho

Hands

Now We're living in this day and age

Where everybody you know

can either play a guitar

or play something there in the middle

What chance do I have?

Now I walk down this empty street

where blank faced urchins beg fo change

and hungry men look for an answer to the riddle

With their backs against the wall

Would I pass

For one of you?

If we passed each - other on the stairs

Would I pass

For one of you

Put your hands up in the air

Put your hands up for the broken hearted

Put your hands up for the newly parted

Now I stand upon a rooftop

Lookin out over a complex which once was home

and now shelters the forgotten

Syringes and broken glass

Pickin' up the telephone

Diallin' numbers to attone for what Ive done

and yet I can still remember

My reflection in your eyes

Would I pass

For one of you

If we passed each other on the stairs

Would I pass

For one of you

Put your hands up in the air

Put your hands up for the broken hearted

Put your hands up for the newly parted

(Guitar Fill)

(Yeh) Put your hands up for the newly parted (To Fade)

Hi,

Am totally new to this forum but have been playing the acoustic for around 2 years and write my own songs and music. I would love to get into doing a few gigs. However I have no idea how to go about this/if I am good enough. Thought about doing some busking to see how that goes down but apart from that I have no idea.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take care guys

Phil
