I was actually first inspired to learn guitar when I was seven years old, and I saw the school classical guitar group practising for a concert. My dad was a drummer, and I had started playing drums with him, but after I heard the group play I was determined to play the guitar.

The person that inspired me to play well and work hard was Angus Young ^^. He's still my guitar-hero.

[ahem] ^^"

I was really surprised not to find "Giving the dog a bone" by Ac/Dc on here, because despite having very provocative lyrics, it has a really good riff and is pretty popular.

Anyone anything?

Hey there, I just signed up to chordie.com after lurking around for months.

I have recently bought my first electric guitar, I have been playing classical and self taught acoustic for about 6 years now.

The problem I am having with playing electric at the moment is that I have very little idea as to what the dials on my guitar and amplifier actually do. The only bits I know are the base, treble, echo/reverb and distortion (button ^^).

Can anyone give me any info? Any amp tutorials on the 'net?
