the link worked for me but yeah the Lee Marcus Music link must need a TEF viewer and then some yahoo info - sorry. i'll keep my eyes out for some more informative sites. try:

There are 19 lessons at this site-which is one of my favorites:

go to

<a href="http://www.wholenote.com/" target="_blank">http://www.wholenote.com/</a>

then find & click on "Guitar Riff Search Engine" under the 'Guitar Learning Tracks' [gray/blue box].

then find the "Search the Lesson Directory" [gray/blue box]. type in "Bluegrass' and click go.

you will fine the 19 lessons there.  let me know....

this is what i went through and still am:

write down what you know and what you would like to know like triads, modes, scales [lead guitar], alternate tuning, fingerpick styling, sweep/appregio picking, the blues etc.  read articles on improvment at guitar magizine sites and make a folder for the ones you believe you need to use.  make binders/file folders on all of the things you know and want to learn.  sometimes it is just best to really get down what you already know.  improve your memory skills.  study other artist's styles but do not be a clone of them...hope this helps.

JCS - do you mean in the middle of a song? or do you just need a transposing tool?

there is none...that's what makes it great because you can improvise all you want.  it's like playing a 'D' chord-you can go either which way to get the sound you want.  some notes are going to sound better than others but that's the beauty of it.

i found [mine] alot of sweep picking in the key of 'E', if you like i can email them to you [i believe it's like two pages?] or try and post afew [like minors]for you-just let me know.  you can move these up and down the neck as you like-to get the key your looking for.  later....

hobweb you may use any arpeggios to do a sweep but you are really looking for a sweep from the low E' 6th string to the bottom high E' string or visa versa.  i looked for websites yesterday but have not found any as of yet - i'll look today and if not i'll look up mine and post a few.

what is your favorite key to play in or afew favorite keys?

you can choose major or minors too.

samdrix-good day! i agree you should learn to read sheet music enough to know what key it's in-ateast.  i am not saying to take a crash course on it but learn it as time goes by-you will be glad-real glad you did.
