Hi everyone!
I've been playing the guitar now for 2 years and surprisingly i'm not as crap as I expected to be after 2 years hence I can strum along with many a tune.
The problem I have is the tunes I do know I want to be the only guitar I can hear when I play along with my cd.
So my question is is there a company out there I can send a list of my favourite tracks to edit the guitar? I know there are lots of karaoke backing tracks available but I don't want the vocals editing, I just want the guitar editing. I really just want to fill the gap with my own guitar playing then maybe after a couple more years I may pluck up the confidence to sing god help me!
Cheers.

thanks for that cytania but i've actually tried them guitar trainers. I have a "tascam" and I presume they all work the same but they don't actually take away the guitar. By altering the pitch all it does is quieten everything down even the vocals, drums, keyboard and any other instrument that's bein used. Defeats the whole object really. I could've saved myself £150 and just turned the volume down. Them guitar trainers are good in other ways but for what I want it for is pretty rubbish. Thanks anyway, I appreciate your comments.

Hey guys.
Anyone out there in my local area of Middlesbrough in the same rut as me.
I've been playing acoustic for about 2 years now and need to feed off other guitarists to get better.
I've tried private tutors but find them very expensive.

Topic: Strum patterns! (7 replies, posted in Acoustic)
Hi everyone!
Something that has been bugging me for a while now is that even though i can strum easy tunes i tend to use the same strum pattern for each one. It's not on purpose, i just do it automatically and it's bugging the hell out of me. I think this site is great as i have just stumbled across it. It's spot on to learn the chords but the only thing is, it doesn't give you the strum pattern.
Any advice?????
John.

Hey people!
I have managed to learn quite a few chords and can actually strum a few easy songs. I don't sound "too" bad but i'd probably sound a hell of a lot better if i knew the correct strumming pattern. Over the past year or so while i've been learning i tend to stick with the same boring one. It's not intentional but i sort of do it automatically and its annoying as hell, not to mention ruin good tunes.
I think this site is ace. I can get any chord for any song, i just wish that the songs came with the correct strumming pattern!
Any suggestions?
Cheers.
John!

Another thing that's been bugging me! I've recently discovered that the fret board has more chords to offer other than the standard chords at the easy end of the guitar. When i "attempt" to knock out my favourite barre chords they sound bad enough without the screech when going from one to the other. So my question is....Are all strings the same or could i buy some "quieter ones"?

Topic: The best Acoustic? (59 replies, posted in Guitars and accessories)
Hi guys.
I'm new to this site and also to the guitar. Been playing about a year or so now. My question is what is the best acoustic out there? Taylors, Martins, Gibsons etc.etc. I want to get rid of this Yamaha as its like trying to grip an elephants leg and it sounds shit.(that could be me though!)
I have £2000 to spunk up the wall.
Please help!
