A few friends and I have been having kitchen jams for a while now. One night one of us got a little too tipsy, Fell off a chair, bumped his head,he was ok. We got him back on the chair, put a hockey helmut on him and kept on playing. So we called ourselves The Crash Helmut Jug Band ever since and still are having lots of laughs.

Hello Scrimmy, I say go for it. This past week I played in front of 15 people or so and was a spur of the moment thing
at a small bar and had a blast. The tunes I played over and over in my own home got a good response. I always thought I played guitar for my own pleasure but it feels good to hear folks tell you they enjoyed what they heard. I
have been playing only two years. I say go for it.

  Have a blast... Badeye.

How big is that list of your's?? My bet is that you'll do the whole list and then some. Been to the base of the rockies
and are truly beautifull.

Our town had one huge rink called The Miners Forum where
as kids we had the time of our lives. Can't remember seeing a cell phone and we all new each other. Hockey was the sport we all played , if not in the rink, on ponds, and home made rinks in backyards, street hockey was also big. Today it's hard to find young kids playing pond or street hockey with all the technical toys of today. Think I'll go on your Time Machine for another spin.

I will listen for your voice from high on the mountain top.
as it's the prettiest thing you'll hear.

Good morning Old Doll, nice to hear you love skating. Seems like you use muscles you didnt know you had. We both have enjoyed skating over the years and love to skate around the rink to the old songs like "A white sport coat" or
"On the wings of a snow white dove" . Gem still teaches figure skating to the young ones and she loves watching the progress. She can still do a pretty good spin too. I remember as a kid my first pair of hockey skates, my dad took me to the department store and picked out a pair that were four sizes too big. He said i would grow into them . He was right, I played hockey on those skates for 30 years in
high school, house leagues, rec leagues and of course now
the Old Timer's league. Its still a lot of fun and good exersize.
Of course the old timers league can also be called The Beer
League. he he .

  Have a nice day... Badeye.

Thanks for the ride in your Time Machine. Yes and  we loved big snow, we had tunnels everywhere just like our coal mining dads.

How was your skating Old Doll? Did you know that Gem was Nova Scotia's Figure Skating Champion in 1974. She won all kinds of skating compititions all over Nova Scotia and New Brunswick in the early 1970"s when she was a young teenager. Just a bit of skating trivia .

Hope you have a great day.... Badeye.

its awesome, Also was fortunate to find the reuinion of
Cream. Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker can still
rock after 37 years apart. also just finished Eric Claptons
Bio which is a good read.

Good Old Doll, Took some advice, let it be for a couple days
and presto, not as bad as it was.

guy goes into a bar with a monkey, orders a drink, the monkey starts eating peanuts on the bar and the bar tender thinks it cute, Then the monkey starts to eat the cherry's, and then the olives, the bar tender gets a little concerned, then the monkey jumps to the pool table and eats a pool ball
the bartender has enough and says the monkey has to go. the man offers to pay for all the monkey ate.three weeks later they come back to the bar, the bartender a little leary
keeps an eye on the monkey. The monkey grabs a peanut and sticks it up his ar@%$se. the bartender sayts thasts it now he is sticking things up his ar@%#se why?. the man says ever since he pass that pool ball he measurse things now.

A young chap get's on a bus and keeps mumbling' What a driver, what a fu@#$ing driver", he sit's directly behind the bus driver and keeps saying "What a driver, what a f#&%@ing driver". The bus driver annoyed pulls the bus over and ask the young chap if he had a problem with his driving. the chap ask why? the driver say's he heard him talking about a
fu%^#ing driver. The young man explains that a beautiful blond just pulled up in a cadillac trying to park in a space big enough for a volskwagen bug. She told the young chap that if he could park the big car in that small space he could have his way with her, 'What a driver, what a fu#@*ing driver.

A blond and brunett were walking down the street. the brunett say's 'Ah look at the dead bird" the blond looks up and say's 'Where' !

For me it's writers like Jimmy Rankin, Brownie Maghee, John Allen Cameron, Matt Minglewood  artists i've listened to for a long time. I've collected a lot of old blues artists over the years so that is a big influnce on me. Just love the simplicity
that an acoustic and a blues harp brings in music. I think I'll have this blues addiction for the rest of my life.

Wasn't that a party, we went to a dance with a live band
and afterward came to my big kitchen for an acoustic jam
with a couple members of the band. The first tune was War
Pigs by Ozzy. We jamed till 5:30 this morning and today was
a rough one, but all worth it. A good way to start the New Year. We had three acoustics going and a blues harp and really didn't want to stop. Here's looking forward to the next jam.

   HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
