Hi James,

Its very good. I hope you get a chance to sing it!

Our [C]home beside the highway has seen the passing years
The [Em]trees so big and sturdy now were watered by our tears
[F]Joyous tears, tears of pride, tears of woe an pain
[G]Tears so bitter, tears so sweet, tears that fell like rain

I love these lines! They can apply to everyone. Brought a moistness
to my own eyes reading them.

Have a wonderful time at the Festival. I envy you all.

Old Doll.

Ah, Roger,

Well as long as they were pleasant thoughts! No harm done.

Thank You for the insight Mó Chara.

Southpaw41l. Thank you as always, i will try to record this one sooner!

I was very hurt by a remark said to me, about me, this week! At one time
i would not have known how to deal with the emotional upset it caused.
That day i took my Guitar, burned some Mexican sage, and put the emotions
into the chords for this song! Do you know Southpaw  it worked for me! Strangly enough
the melody is delightful and  Erased the hurt. "Wonderful Method" I recommend it.

Hi Lastrebel,

well i had never heard of this. Our kids would say" Help The halloween Party"

as they went  around the neighbourhood. It is only in recent times they

Say "Trick or Treat". But today on the radio i heard there was a
lot of damage done with eggs around the country.
Massive damage done with unsupervised Bon fires. Some of these gits,
had frozen some eggs and used them as missiles, breaking windows!

I used to go with my kids to a bonfire, and often over the years organised

the fire works display! for safety reasons. It seems now kids are alllowed
to roam like pack animals without supervision.. Times have changed.

Hi lastrebel,

My Son also remarked last night there was no scary movies on the tv.

Among many callers i had a Latvian boy dressed as an Eskimo!

and a chinese girl dressed as a witch. Not a home made costume

at all, nor an Arab in sight? At one time every tea towel in the area
would be the finish to there arab dress. Best dressed kids for
halloween i ever seen!
Ps. tell me about this toilet roll issue mentioned  by you in a thread?

Hi The fatpainter,

We are all thats good in the world! For a small nation, i think we are WONDERFUL! My Dad used to carve out turnip / Swede. We were not
Always posh you know. But money or nowt, We remain very proud of
History, Traditions, and Culture.  It was the"Irish who took the halloween custom to America, when fleeing from the potatoe famine here.

Your roots must be Scottish or Welch if you were carving Turnips.
My Mam always made the Barmbrack,  One would leave home for
a slice of this brack, so good was it. Not like the synthetic stuff of today.

I still think the Americans are splendid at this type of thing.

Probably Commercialism at its best, but all good!

Now back to work! No! not me!  "You Thefatpainter, all my decor is done:lol:

Roger!

This is a funny song about a serious fear! Dont have the fear myself,

but so pity any one who does.

Remember! A empty house is better then a bad tenent".

Well done

Did you know it was the Irish that started Halloween?

Like all good things , the americans borrowed it, Had pumpkins to

offset our wee spanish oranges. Then to add insult to injury, they

carve all our ugly mushes on them every year. Pop a wee tea light inside!

and light us up! How very gracious of them.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL, Especially you Americans. Bought all my

halloween decor in Salem  last time i was there! Great Place.
