Does that make the bread machine a "mobile APP " ?
Nice guitar !
I have an Ibanez that is almost identical except I only have two knobs and yours has 4
and instead of Humbuckers, I have two double coil pick ups.

Jeepers,
no one answered my question - is bass harder or easier to play than a six string acoustic ?
I have never touched a bass, so I have no idea what it's like to play one, although when I fish I usually catch a lot of bass!
I would appreciate a bit of input from one of you chordians that know stuff about this !
Thanks
Jim
I have never even held a bass in my hands
are they harder to play than a six string acoustic ?
Thanks Bill
here is a soundcloud version I did quickly this morning .
It's not great ( aka my poor singing and playing) but it will give a bit of direction to others as to how I envision it if they want to do a cover.

I hope this qualifies as my Christmas card and message to all my chordie friends.
Merry Christmas all !

Well - when I got up this morning I looked out my window - the first line of this song jumped in my head - from there - I came and went and kept coming back to it. Finally tonight I finished it. it goes like this -

Dylan's greatness in song
Patti smith did great despite one little flaw - gives hope to all of us. Such a powerful lyric.
I am a huge Dylan fan - he deserves the award whether he showed or not!
Nice - left you a soundcloud messg\
Jim
here's a pretty good link with the chords

That must've been a rehearsal performance... did you notice no people in the stands ?
Thanks for sharing though, it was still excellent.
One of the best renditions I've heard. He had that one of a kind, distinctive voice. Having Ian Anderson there made it awesome as well.
Loved the church choir as back up. Superb musicians delivering a TERRIC SONG.
THANKS FOR SHARING IT.

As classical Guitar siad above:
Re: Where Was Your Guitar Made
Where a guitar is made is not as important as the sound and play ability and lastly the price. For some that order may be different and as long as you are happy with the guitars you own then you bought wisely.
Music is what feelings sound like.
No kidding - until I read this I always thought that my Alvarez was made in USA
It plays beautiful - I just looked at the sticker and in tiny lil ol letters in the corner - yup - " Made in China"
and I don't care - it could've been made in Timbuctu and it would still have the great sound it emits .

Congrats on NGD !

Incredible stories...... your Grandfather is certainly a man to be proud of and a man I would've loved to call my friend.
That song had me on the verge of tears.
Thank you so much for sharing it.... I look forward to sharing that video with my social studies classes that I teach. I have taught about that experience while covering WWI, but had never heard of that song. It is very meaningful.
Peace on Earth - what if they gave a war and nobody came ?
Here's a little song that I've liked along those lines. ( although not even in the same league as the one posted here by Zurf)

Thanks again Zurf..... hope you can get by the incredible emotions it pulls out of one's heart and put your version and passion into a cover of it - love to hear it.

P.S.
Having some Irish blood myself, I did laugh about the bar brawl story ....... seems that beer and just about any excuse leads to that in many an Irish Pub
Beamer
The lyric is mysterious for sure... let's everyone have their own image of what's happening and their own prediction of the outcome. I like it a lot... reminds me of Dylan Thomas (the great Welch poet and one of my favorites) as he often uses obscure images, as he expresses messages of devotion in many of his poems. Also. in many of his poems Thomas incorporates the presence of death....... always lurking... but it is up to the reader to figure out when, where and why...just like your song. I think this is excellent in that regard , nicely done brother!
I am looking forward to the completed version.
Jim
p.s. To use a Thomas quote.......... " do not go gentle into that good night....rage, rage , rage ! " Metal music !
cool guitar - truly vintage
give a report on it played after you were done !
Jim
Here is Phill's version of my song.... it literally brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Phill

I vote for Graham's song as well .
I probably wouldn't be able to give it a go as my voice is completely shot from Basketball games and practice right now. However, I think it is a classic - great lyrics. I would look forward to hearing renditions from all of the real musicians on chordie.
Speaking of good musicians- anyone heard from Kim Noble? She did a nice rendition of one of my songs and I know she was working on someone else's...but I have not seen anything from her lately.
anyway - my vote for Cloak of Invisibility
Jim
Thanks Bill and Jan
Life gets in the way sometimes - once in a while it gets difficult not to argue or blame..... but if there is love, you can find a way to get through it together.
Probably not the greatest song, but just what I was feeling on Sunday morning.
I appreciate the comments.
Some good research there Bill. Interesting stuff !
Thanks for Sharing
Jim
Hey Chordians...
I was just thinking tonight --- haven't heard from Graham lately.
Hope all is well and he is enjoying a beautiful vacation on a secluded tropical island!
Washington is a very good JV team playing an Alabama Varsity that is superb. However- it is a game and anything can happen, just not likely.
I do agree with Jerome though that Clemson will get smashed by the Buckeyes.... they are too undisciplined.
Hope all goes well.
Phill,
I think you should record this with the band "Limp Biscuit" as your back up !
Great song by the way - too bad it's so "dead balls" accurate ! (Pun intended!)
Thanks for sharing - waiting for a great rendition.
