In the late sixties  Brownie Maghee wrote a song called
"The blues had a baby, and they called it Rock and Roll" which sums up the birth of rock and roll. Elvis probably has a part in the first rock and roll. Probably hard to say which tune was first, but Big Momma Thorton sang Hound Dog before Elvis made it big. Thank god rock and roll came along.

There[A] ain't nothing[A7] like a strong [D] cup of [F] tea,

[A]You need a good[A7] friend you [D] know[F]

[A]To help [A7] share the [D] load.

[C]And the tea we had [G] thru the [D] years

[C]Has helped to [G] quell our [D] fears

[C]As the bag [G] soaked up our [D] tears

[C]The laughter and the [G] memories are [D] clear

[A]Many [A7] timesyou [D] helped me [F] out

Yes it took a bit of time to get four chords to sound right,
then to apply them to a couple tunes. I got the idea when I watched some jeff healy videos and gave it a shot. It'll take
a very long time to even be close to healy's style of play, for
me its just a bit of fun. As for barre chords that way it's very hard and I just play open chords at the nut. Anyone else try this way of playing??No problem going back to traditional
way of playing.

  Have a good day...Badeye.

On the blues side try" V-8 Ford " by Willie Love, or Johnny
Cash's "One Piece At A Time".

Good luck...Badeye.

Do you mean like Jeff Healey, that blind Blues/Pop Artist? In that case I've tried but failed miserably. I found it very weird.

hello geoaguiar.
Just some simple 3 and 4 chords songs at the nut, takes a bit to figure out but easy when it happens. Jeff Healy was an amazing guitar player and one of my favorites. Got a chance to see him live some years ago and was amazed by his style. As the story goes one night at a gig he was standing up wailing on the guitar and he walked right of the stage and crashed to the floor, the band picked him up, got him back on stage, and he kept on playing as if nothing happened. Chech him and his band out in the movie "Roadhouse" which did wonders for his career.

Your right Ken, it is Townsend solo. On the back it says he did all the vocals, intstrumentals, mixing, and enginering, all
except making the tea. Thanks for pointing that out.
