counterfeit huh?  Are the counterfeits the ones made in Japan instead of China?  ha ha!  Sorry, I couldn't help myself.  It is a cool picture Z!!  Do they allow you to play with them over there, or is everything locked up?  Darn tourists taking pictures of sale merchandise.  smile  I wonder what they thought you were going to do with the picture that was so aweful to stop you.  STRANGE, unless Dino is right!

well, I searched and searched and it seems it was only recorded as a live version.  It's from 1997, but that's about all I could find out.  BuffaloTim, if you have it online somewhere, you can link to where it's located to listen to it.  On the other token, some websites say that is violating copyrights... at Chordie we only get upset if you post lyrics ON the site, not if you link to things (unless you're trying to sell something, but it's understood that linking to a song MIGHT happen to include a buy now link).  So... upload online at other sites at your own risk.  On the other hand, if one of the wonderful members here would like to take a stab at figuring out the chords by listening, you could simply email them a copy of the song.  I'm not sure who's willing to do that with their awesome talent.  I don't have that talent personally, I'm just here to keep the peace smile  Good luck!

OH... and welcome to Chordie!
Amy

smile  Thanks Dino.  Actually... it is a Martin that I truly want.  The hubby and I just bought a new car and a used bike so those extra quarters are hard to come by, but they're going in a jug at the moment.  I wish I could put away more than that at a time... but we've just got too much going on.  Especially with that trip to VA in July!!  Those hummingbirds are so pretty though!!

Happy NGD and Father's Day!  I think the hummingbirds are quite beautiful... Epi or Gibson... although I agree, I'd drool over a Gibson (and choke at the price).  smile

Hi Joan and welcome to Chordie!  Lots of good questions you have, and my personal opinion is that ... all the answers are personal opinions!  You have tons of time to make your own opinions to answer these questions and I find THAT is the beauty of guitar.  There is ALWAYS something to learn be it a new chord, or what types of wood different guitars are made from and why.  Enjoy the journey and don't rush it.  smile

A super duper happy Father's Day to all you Chordie Dads!!!

My Dad is the man that taught me to love music, inspired me to sing and learn the guitar, kissed my forehead when I was sick, stood by me even when he didn't agree with my decisions, walked me down the isle, and cried at the birth of each of my children.  There is nothing in the world as precious as the relationship with a Dad... even if it's strained at times.  I wish each and every one of you Dads the proper honor, love, and respect that you deserve.

Go watch a race or a game, catch some fish, have a beer, play some guitar, chillax and enjoy YOUR day!

So June is a good month for you to start new things?  smile  Congrats on 30 years of learning how to make wonderful music!  Does this call for a NEW guitar this month, or do you  have to wait two more years till yours is 30?

I still wish we had a chat room too Nela... sadly... I don't think there's enough mods that want to be online long enough to control it.  Imagine how fast an OPEN chat room would get ugly when we have several spammers a day on the forums.  Add the horrid chat bots and all heck would break loose.  sad

Welcome to chordie!  Yup, you'll find quite a few here from England.  I LOVE Chordie because it puts all the GOOD PEOPLE around the world who like to play guitar (but might not be anything special... just enjoy it) all in one place!  smile

NY STATE (5 hours away from NYC mind you)... is half sun half clouds... half warm half cold.  smile  We get 90F in the summer and 0F in the winter with quite a few feet of snow.  All four seasons here in full force.  I'd like to live somewhere that the average temperature is 70F without the extreme winter or extreme summer.  Autumn is my favorite!!  (Jeans a t-shirt and maybe a sweater is my choice!)

Sounds GREAT!  Only thing I can think of to add is maybe you know a couple guitar players around that would also like to do a few songs?  Getting a few folks together and calling it more of a "planned open mic" might make for more people to show up that will enjoy watching!  smile

I'm impressed!  I still get too many bubbles in my belly when I'm in front of people.  I've been on stage and in front of a microphone since I was quite young, and still my knees knock.  Go get em!!

Congrats Mr & Mrs Badeye!  A Friday night to celebrate to boot... sounds like a LONG fun evening in the making.  Enjoy it!  smile  There's nothing quite like an anniversary celebration to put a woman in a romantic mood!!!  wink

Thank you.

Agree with all the above.  Say it like it is and go from there.  If there's a question, ask it... if there's a concern say it.  Too much goes on in life in which people guess what others are thinking and then just end up screwing themselves over a misunderstanding.  remember the old saying, "when you ASSUME you make an ........."

Dino, every time I get new towels and blankets, the old ones go to the local shelter.  It's good to give!!  smile

Just did a few "london broils" on the grill.  That's Top Round I believe.  Marinate in ... lemon juice (enough to coat), a few good shakes of worcestershire sauce, enough salt and pepper, a couple tablespoons of olive oil, and your choice of either garlic or diced onions (enough to coat) -- for AT LEAST TWO DAYS (flip every time you go into the fridge for something).  Grill 7-10 minutes each side.  Let rest... slice thin on the bias.  The secret is in the lemon juice... everyone said "it tastes kind of like a marinate in Italian Dressing, but not quite... something's different, and I LIKE IT"

You can also take potatoes, slice 3 slits in each and each slit add a sliver of fresh garlic, an onion slice, and a tab of butter.  Sprinkle with salt then double wrap these in aluminum foil and put on the grill for about 45 minutes.  It's like baked potatoes but better.

I make my own barbecue sauce, but it's always different depending on what I have on hand.

Any type of marinade similar to the above is great on Chicken breasts too.  You can also slice potatoes through, coat with a little oil, salt and pepper and grill them right up.  They turn out crispy... it's like grilled fries and they cook in about the same amount of time as a grilled chicken breast.

Well, since my last post about the animals we have... Dozer and Cali both passed on, I now have Chica (a pit bull that we rescued from deplorable conditions) and we have a baby pug on the way in another week or so!

Whoops, I still didn't get anything written up!

Chris Ibbotson, Chordie actually had to block them because legal action WAS taken against Chordie.  Sucks.  The other sites are probably headed for trouble too.  sad Either that, or they've agreed to pay royalties to the beancounters.

Sounds like the Admin may have been updating things and it was just down for a bit... that does happen, and he generally doesn't warn us in advance BUT updates are good!  Are all your problems resolved now or is it still continuing?

Ok, it's been a month and still no pics?  LOL!  I've had my eye on a Martin and will continue to keep my eye on it until I can muster up the cash for it.  Would love to drool a bit over yours when you get the pic up here.  smile

sad  I don't like those type.  I like the alligator type.  Oh well... I just have to be careful to put it in the front pocket of the guitar case when not in use.
