A cover of the Tom Waits song Time:

A great Bruce Cockburn song.
Just uploaded a new video on chords page here:

http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/www.g … /3641.html

I asked my friend Mike if he would play and sing with me on Cinnamon Girl and he did but the bonus is that his wife Birde decided at the last minute to lay down a Bass track so now we have a real Cinnamon Girl in our video. Posted it to the chords page here:

For some reason I could not remove the first video so I removed it from YouTube so it doesn't play.
The new video is the one under the old one and it will play for you.
Remastered the audio and added additional vocal at choruses:

Jack Dingler (aka Weaseldog2001 on YouTube) wrote a beautiful song here and I was very touched by it. With Jack's kind permission he allowed me to change some lyrics and add a chorus. I also changed the musical arrangement around as well. Thank You to Jack for encouraging me to do his song my own way.

My cover doesn't really follow the original or Nilsson's famous cover.
I've always liked the way Stephen Stills performed it on his Stills Live
album so I would say that perhaps mine is more inspired by his version.
Here's some Wikipedia info on the song:

"Everybody's Talkin'" is a folk rock song released by Fred Neil in 1966
that became a global success for Harry Nilsson in 1969, reaching #2 and #6
on Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart and Pop Singles chart respectively
and winning a Grammy after it was featured on the soundtrack for the
film Midnight Cowboy. The song, which describes the speaker's desire to
retreat from other people to the ocean, is among the most famous works
of both artists. It has become a standard, covered by many notable artists.

Hey All1Song.

Just watched/listened to "Where Is Your Soul." Good stuff, your playing and singing are spot on.

One thing intended to help - your Mic placement could be improved. We all have to look at the fretboard from time to time to ensure we aren't going to play a bum note on a tricky change.

If the Mic was placed lower pointing up at the join between neck and guitar, it would be ideally situated for vox without having to look away from guitar.

I hope this is taken as a helpful suggestion rather than a crit because the overall quality (apart from the vox going quiet/loud/quiet (esp' near the beginning)) is broadcast.

Good on yer! cool

Thanks! Appreciate that you listened and appreciate the helpful feedback!

My friend Shuie Phillips from London, England did the audio mix for me on this and he and his wife added harmony vocals to the chorus.

This one is for them.
Hope they can hear it in Heaven:

Just a heads up that I have posted several new videos to the chord pages in the Acoustic section.

Time - Pink Floyd
Sexy Sadie - Beatles
I'm So Tired - Beatles
Pardon My Heart - Neil Young
I'm Not In Love - 10CC

Links to the chord pages given in the Acoustic section.

Cheers, Gil

Just added a new video for this 10CC song. I learned it from the chords here on Chordie.
Not an easy one to learn but I kept at it until I could play it through then quit.
So the video is the first good take I got:

Wow, that's some amazing mic you got there!  I've got decent mics yet unless I'm 2 inches or closer to the mic my vocals are dead silent. And your mic picks up the guitar, your vocals, and an echo of some sort on your vocal. I gotta get me one of those mics. What brand of mic are you using ? Thanks in advance for sharing, if you don't wanna give away your secret source I'll totally understand as well. Have a great evening!

No problem! It's actually a cheap Sony ECM-MS907 stereo digital recording mic designed for recording live music to a DAT recorder and it comes with a cord and stereo mini jack built in.
For this video the mic is pluggged straight into the aux mic input on my Sony camcorder.
I extracted the audio from the video and overdubbed several layers of vocals.
Singing each one separately. No computer effects.

Just added a new video with high quality sound here:

Just added a video of my solo acoustic rendition here:

I added additional backing vocals to this.
Posted here on the song page:

Blind Faith was a short lived British supergroup with Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton, Ginger Baker and Rick Grech. They only put out one self titled album in 1969 and this was one of the hits from that album.

Just corrected the chords for this song and posted a video there playing the song using those chords.
It is geared toward a simplified solo acoustic rendition.  The original features both Winwood and Clapton on acoustics.
Hope this helps if you want to learn this beautiful song.

This is a collaboration I put together with a friend who plays a 12 string Taylot. He's a very skillful guitarist and does a fantastic lead on this. See the video at the bottom of the chord page here:

Chordie.com is such a valuable resource!
I had bookmarked these chords here over a year ago intending to learn this song.
Finally last night I took a run at it and I think it's a keeper.

I am understandably excited by this news.
This is the first time I have run into being screened for approval to post
something. How do I know this? There was a bit of back and forth between me and
the show about the content of what I wanted to post. After careful consideration
the show's producer and team felt this was appropriate and relevant to post for
display on the forum.

These are my two latest original songs Tent City & Bailout Blues. Please have a

This is our second collaboration on a Buffalo Springfield song. This song can be found on their first self titled album. The song was written by Neil Young and sung by Richie Furay on the album. I saw Young do this solo acoustic at a Bridge School concert some years back and decided to try a solo acoustic cover. I have the solo version posted on my other channel.
misspopanoche (Sonya and Shuie) added in additional guitars and harmony vocals as follows:

Main acoustic and Lead Vocal: Gil
Additional Rythmn Acoustic: Shuie
Acoustic Lead Guitar and Rythmn at Lead Break: Shuie
Harmony Vocals: Sonya and Shuie

Thanks to Sony and Shuie for another wonderful collaboration!

Hope you enjoy our effort:

Just posted corrected chords and a solo acoustic rendition video here using the same chords:

First song I ever wrote way back in 1977.
This version was recorded last year and audio mastering was done by my friends Shuie and Sonya (a husbamd and wife musician duo in England).

I think they did a great job on the final mix.
