Brian, you're becoming an enigma. You told me you like bare bones recordings then you put up these big production numbers. Same clock, two faces, in the nicest possible way.

Very interesting but I hate smart alexes, just kidding, knopfler is brilliant.

That is indeed the way of the world. And seeing as you're at the underside of it I guess if you turned a helicopter upside down it would be the right way up?

Really delightful Pedr. I wouldn't have thought a violin (or fiddle?) could keep a rhythm going, so I was wrong again.

I haven't been practicing guitar much since I gave up gigging, so when I tried writing and recording a new song I couldn't make out why all the strings were buzzing and my fingers were sore afterwards. Add to that I couldn't come up with anything original so I decided I needed to practice more. Every day since I've spent half an hour practicing scales and going over chords. I find it has had benefits inasmuch as I no longer have sore finger tips or index finger (for barre chords) and I think whatever technique I had is returning . So, my friends practice every day if you can, I think scales are one of the most important exercises in all keys not just the easy ones. And use your pinky especially for bass.

I couldn't get any video so just listened, great. Alice Cooper is a really nice guy very different from his stage personality. Glen Campbell was a brilliant guitarist, watch him play William Tell overture, out of this world, hard enough on 6 string but he does it on a twelver.

I loved his appearance in the film Yeasterday. I can take his music or leave it, all music these days sounds the same anyway.

1. Death metal is depressing and often can't make out the words over the over fuzzed guitar. Chirpy chirpy cheap cheap, I think bubble gum music gave more people diabetes than sugar, so neither.
2. 6, 12, bass, electric acoustic all good.
3. Prefer rockers, occasional ballad.
4. I watch live music on YouTube unless it's done on a mobile phone. By dead music do you mean rap or that genre? Neither.
5. Don't frequent either since music became mundane, and I became a grumpy old man.

I agree with all that Pedr. How could they do it live?

Sounds familiar. Typical arrangement for the time and just under 2 mins 30.

It was just a moment in time
Took ages to rhyme
I like beer but I don't like wine

It was a moment in time
When the sun came to shine
Now it's gone and it's raining again

Like most sports, I enjoy playing but not watching. Change that to enjoyed playing, my knees won't allow me to run about anymore. Very humourous verse Brian.

As a life long Beatles fan, we'll almost, I must agree with you. I first heard the Beatles on radio Luxembourg playing " my Bonny" in 1962. I didn't find out that it was the Beatles till 1968! But it was one of those hair standing on end moments that will stay with me till I die. The next time that happened was when I heard Abbey Road for the first time. As for the Stones, they sound too much like a bunch of kids with no cohesion. Obviously they have knocked out a few great songs whereas the Beatles have knocked out just two bad ones.
That's my five pennorth.

Peatle and I have been dueling comically and poetically with most writings treading a fine line. This is my most recent, no title yet.

She watched the river rolling by
As she stood on the burning deck
A vampire sat upon her shoulder
Sucking blood from her revealing neck.

A wind erupted unannounced
And butter fluttered by
She said that is the strangest thing
I cannot fathom why.

How old were you when you were young
How deaf you'll be if you were dumb
How slow you'd go without the speed
How rich you'd be to sate you're greed.

And now the ship pulls into shore
And sure enough the lady goes
Emblazoned on her pretty neck
Tattoos of her on the deck.

still love your laid back style Mojo, great song. Will you film your performances? You're sure to get good reactions.

I'm sure I commented on this one already, anyway; Great song and enjoyed the instruments and vocals.

I'd never heard of him but I do like his style. Another Welsh man you have never heard of is Andy Fairweather Low. He was font man with Amen Corner then a solo artist and lately side man with the likes of Eric Clapton.

They televise parliament here, if tvs didn't cost so much I'd need a new one every week. Brian, you and Peatle are making me open my eyes, see my surroundings,  smell the bacon and tell it as it is. Keep on my friend

That's an open question, right? Late for work? Late for an appointment?  Late for a romantic liaison? The only thing I want to be Late for is my demise.

Thank to Jim, Brian and Pedr (Peatle) seriously its just observations on a typical summers morning. Jim, you have my permission to use that line. Brian, it never occurred to me to make it into a video, I know they once experimented with smellyvision...imagine watching it on your TV as the smell of bacon cooking filled your room, you'd never get to the end the frying pan would be on while you searched the fridge for bacon, sausage and eggs...my stomach just rumbled...
Pedr, I owe a lot to you for this poem, written in your style, don't sue me pal, buddy, brother?

This was inspired by Peatles recent poem "Mother with the lost child" and the sounds, smells and atmosphere of a summer s morning

Ah, Morning.

6 a.m.

A glow on the dark sky
Fading stars on the eastern horizon pre-empts
The rising of our golden orb.
Birds come to life and chirp, squeak, flutter and fly
Breakfast of worms and crawling things
There's a scurrying as creatures of the night
Keep to the shadows on their way home and safety.

Ah, morning

The sun is now making it's way towards the west.
It seems to roll over roof tops and tree tops
While sometimes hiding behind red clouds that fade away...slowly
The aroma of baking bread pleases my senses
As the baker empties his oven and stacks the warm loaves.
But that is not the only gift as bacon fries in cafes and kitchens.
Grass is being cut by a council worker in the park
The scent is heady and pleasant.

Now the once deserted road fills with cars and vans
Busses and lorries all on their way somewhere
Petrol, diesel and now electric hum
Cars, bikes and scooters pass by with little sound
While exhaust fumes still fill the air
How much longer? the inquisitive ask
Ah...clear my mind... smells, scent, perfume
An olfactory orgasm

9 a.m.

Bread, bacon, new mown grass...heaven
And I think...
It's good to be alive
